I clean my earrings bi-weekly(or more if needed) with rubbing alcohol. I don't wear any jewlery while showering or swimming. These earrings were nice for a few months then started to look very worn quickly. The green at the clasps- proves the whole earring is not gold-plated. But even so, it only took around 5 months for blemishes to show.
