One of my dogs is very senior at 18 yrs young and still going strong. Biggest issue is that at 18, she no longer has any teeth due to lack of vet care in her previous home. Anyhow, this food is soft before you even wet it. It's soft where you can crumble it if you wanted to but it doesn't fall apart unless you want it to. Some raw freeze dried foods that we have tried in the past were much more firm. This food worked out perfectly for my dog's needs; my senior was able to eat it very easily. The senior and the two young adult dogs gobbled it up and were looking for more. This made me happy as I hate seeing them bored of their food and reluctant to eat. I supplement their days with healthy treats of fresh carrot, apple, green beans, etc. I will definitely be buying this food again.
