It fits well. Looks great. And is light. Feels well built. The rubber does skuff tiled floors if you have shoe to the side while sitting. walking does not skuff. Will be buying the brown one as well.

These are some of the best shoes I’ve purchased in a decade or more in terms of quality, craftsmanship and sheer beauty (never thought I’d use that word about shoes). But if I could say only one thing about them it would be to take the advice in the description and order a half size smaller than you would normally. I purchased these Dunross & Sons shoes in “espresso” at the same time as a pair of lace-up Calvin Klein oxfords with a similar design. The CKs fit perfectly but the D&Ss were, well, a half size too big. I’ve just never been good at taking suggestions when I really should, and believe me, you really should. The second pair I got in the right size look and feel as though they were custom made for me.I will return to customer service regarding this shortly, but the exceptional design and workmanship that went into these shoes is on the level with shoes twice their current price ($148 as of this review). I bought the “espresso” color and though the description says that those are hand painted, I wrote it off as marketing. But you can see the attention to detail and evenness of tone that no machine could mass produce without dyeing the leather. And the everything from the stitching on the outside to the lining on the inside seem exceptional. As for myself, I really like sleek design that I can’t resist comparing to very high-end sports car. They are very comfortable (for my size foot) to stand and walk in, and I expect to get many miles out of them.Last, and certainly not least, Dunross & Sons customer service helped when I had a problem even Amazon couldn’t solve that I won’t get into here. First, let me say that I am not being paid or compensated for this review. That said, I am extremely grateful to the folks at customer service who eventually understood my very long story (My Series of Extremely Unfortunate Events in Shoe Replacement Land) and worked with me to get the right size. The bottom line is that this company has treated me more than just fairly and that really is a rarity these days.I expect there will be some people who complain about the rubber rather than leather sole, but I actually prefer it as they are. The heels are constructed to please the eye for those who look for that sort of thing. But the bottom line is they are are comfortable enough to wear to work, if you work in an office inside all day, but look really great with a dark suit. And from the feel of the soles, they will probably last longer than leather and more safely on all kinds of surfaces.These are all my amateur opinions and if you are a professional shoe scoffer, knock yourself out. But while you’re busy looking for reasons to complain, I’ll be enjoying my purchase as often as I can.

These shoes look very nice and are pretty comfortable. The price is fantastic for the quality. I’ve worn these shoes often and they still look brand new. Unexpectedly exceeded my expectations.

The leather smell & softness is quite nice on these well made shoes.The sizing is a bit challenging.Sized up to an 11 from the usual 10 1/2. Good call.While it was still a little pinchy on the pinky toe, the shoe overall was comfortable.However, there was enough room inside for the foot to slide but,not enough room to lose half a size, maybe a quarter.Have worn them around the house for about a week.With an average width foot, the pinchy is still there but has broken in.However, even with a thicker sock, the shoe still slips & slides while walking.Really nice shoe but wouldn't get unless you have enough time to exchange for size and,there is a free return policy.

These shoes didn't fit me right at all. I should have ordered a full size down. The leather is excellent, as is the workmanship. I like the style and it would have been great if I had ordered a much smaller shoe. As it is, the long, stiff toe sticks far past my feet and feels uncomfortable.

These shoes are nice looking. Here are my thoughts:1. The shoes come impressively packaged, very nice.2. The shoes are a beautiful color. I would definitely say these are espresso color and are quite nice looking.3. Sizing?: Definitely these are a little bigger than the size indicated. For me the size worked actually and particularly with dress socks, so I didn't have a real concern. However, if you are barely a size, a smaller size might be warranted.4. Feel?: These feel nice. Initially, I was not pleased with the initial smell of the shoes, which seemed more of pleather than actual real leather. I did not like this at all. The shoes fit me comfortably. I do recommend being careful at first as the soles are not perfectly worn in such tat you can easily slip on a hardwood smooth floor. These definitely need some grounding on concrete or similar or you will feel insecure asking around. It seems like the soles of the shoes were a little too smoothed out.5. Wear?: Comfortable. I haven't noticed any issues wearing these around (and with the current situation of staying at home I cannot get a good overall feel going everywhere), but they are comfortable. The look is terrific.Overall: I did receive these shoes to try and review. Lately I have been pretty particular with what shows I will wear. These are nice, but I feel a little expensive for what these are initially. They are well made, and look great, but I am not sure I would pay the current price for them. That being said, I can imagine for someone looking for a nice pair of dressy shoes with this look you can do much worse.
