I would not recommend this fan. There is a reason humidistat fans have never caught on.
Update, a little later ….. oh dear, like other reviews on humidistat extractor fans, this one is just the same, it seems to have forgotten how to TURN OFF! I tried every adjustment position and it either stays on for a couple of days, or doesn’t trigger with a bath. It really isn’t fit for purpose. There are other good fans on Amazon at good prices that are standard, which means no timer or timer versions by the same or other manufacturers. Amazon have refunded and I just ordered a standard version to switch. The idea of humidistat is great but let down by poor electronics. This type of fan needs to evolve into a smart fan with phone based adjusting and setting. I had to remove my fan cover many times to adjust it. So, manufacturers, join the 21st century and let’s have a reliable smart fan.I spoke with an electrician and he says he will never fit them as he always ends up going back and back to customers homes. I builder I know and trust says he will never fit them either. Guess that says it all.Seems to be intelligent enough to be on when it’s needed and not when it’s not. Some extractors according to reviews have a tendency to be on too much. I don’t find this is the case with this one. I fitted it as a replacement and very happy so far.

Fit & forget. Does what it says on the tin.
Very quiet. Looks good. Does exactly what it says.

Valuable upgrade for a bathroom fan
For most bathroom fans, this is a direct swap. It includes a humidity sensor so if the air is damp, eg from towels still drying, the fan continues to run quietly in the background until the moisture levels drop, which helps to prevent mildew. There are cheaper ones, but this is solid and quiet.

Overly sensitive never switches off.
I had to call the electrician back twice and contact Vent Axia tech support several times to 'settle' this fan. It sort of settled in summer but now in winter if it rains or is windy or foggy outside the fan switches on and runs for days. So annoying. Vent Axia don't want help. It's a pain in the neck and a poorly designed product...it was probably never tested in a domestic setting where the wind can blow in through the external.vent 2m away via roof space and trigger the sensor which then forgets how to switch off. Avoid!
