Fantastic tinned fish product !
Polar smoked Herring is unbelievably delicious. It's a great snack or even a meal just straight out of the can and put onto crackers or in seasoned rice, etc. Smokey, meaty, and tasty. I'm not sure what the vegetable oil comes from in the product description because they are actually packed in canola oil and their own natural juices.

Great-tasting fish product
This is an amazing price for these herrings. I think these are preserved in salt, which makes them a little less delicate than sardines, but they're wonderful to add protein to a salad or make a sandwich as you do with tuna. The can is easy to open and the size is enough for two people (or one, if it's most of your meal). There is no fishy smell, just a nice smoky fragrance.

Great product poor packaging
Product was delivered very quickly but damaged! It seems the entire package was somewhere along the way treated as if it were a beach ball. Three of the twelve cans of fish were severely damaged. I will open them first. Please ensure the product is more protected from damage due to rough handling. Polar makes a truly excellent and delicious smoked Herring both in texture and flavor. I have yet to be disappointed with their "kipper" snack. Thank you.

I buy smoked oysters and coho salmon in the can, but these are a better value and have better taste.

Really Good, from Germany
I used to be able to find these at the store but they have dissapeared, so I ordered a case of them from Amazon, they are from Germany and are in canola oil, they are the best, best, BEST !!!!!!

These Herring tasted really good...not too strong either!

Little Herring flavor, mostly smoke.
These are large pieces, but the herring taste and flavor is dull with mostly the smoke coming through.
