Magpul SGA Mossberg Sling Mount,Black

I actually have two of these, and I would give it 5 Stars in both applications...including the one it isn't intended for. First off, I have one mounted on a Mossberg 590A1 with the Magpul SGA stock. Some people have complained that it doesn't fit their stock...that is because the SGA Sling Mount is only designed to be used with this Magpul SGA stock. It is a simple drop in that replaces the black plastic spacer between the SGA stock and your receiver, takes less than a minute to install. Excellent, solid, single point mount once installed. I also bought one to replace the GG&G single point mount that I had on a Mossberg 500C. Nothing wrong with the GG&G mount, but it is very thick and adds to the LOP, and I wanted to minimalize the LOP on this HD shotgun. This gun is running a Hogue Overmold 12" LOP stock, so I knew before I ordered it that it required modifying the stock with a Dremel tool to create the recess that the sling mount sits in. With a steady hand, a vice, and Dremel tool, you are looking at about a half hour of install time if you go slow and take your time to do it right. Once installed, you can't tell that it wasn't originally made to work with the Hogue stock. Installation on most other non-SGA stocks that mount the same way as the factory Mossberg stocks do should be about the same.

Fits perfect in the slot between SGA and frame. After you take off spacer on the SGA stock you slip this piece in the middle then install the stock. Clean, tight fit for para clip attachment point. Doesn't get in the way during use or stick out to far.

It's MAGPUL, it just works. Everything you should expect from magpul.

Works as advertised. All metal. I put it on a Mossberg 500A that i put a Hogue pistol style grip on. Had to take the dremmel to the grip a little, no biggie. Works well and feels sturdy.

More than sturdy enough to support the weight of a cordless lead hole puncher. Worth the money for sure. Installing on a maverick 88 required a bit of fitting, so I imagine the same "fitting" would be required for the mossberg 500, since it's basically a clone, and virtually all aftermarket M-500 parts/accessories fit the M88. (EDIT-I didn't realize this before purchase, but apparently this made to fit with Magpul stocks.) I just made it work. Any competent person with a dremel, files, etc should be able to notch the polymer stock and make it fit. It does fit perfectly and securely internally.

Looks incredibly strong, Magpul has an amazing high build standard.

I have used this on multiple other stocks. Good part. Item is only compatible with magpul SGA stock.
