When there is no liquid approaching the sensor, the sensor has a certain static capacitance due to the distributed capacitance. When the liquid level slowly rises close to the inductor, the parasitic capacitance of the liquid will be coupled to the static capacitor, causing the capacitance of the inductor to become larger.The changed capacitance signal is then input to the control IC for signal conversion, which will change. The capacitance is converted into a certain amount of change in the electrical signal, and then a certain algorithm detects and judges the degree of the change. I think it is a 5-24v version that is a XKC-Y25-V. here is a website that explains the connections. My concern would be that it takes 5 to 24 volts to drive this and you only have 3.3v. They are very good to answer every dumb question I had. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy setup *by P***M on 9 October 2023* Using this as a gas tank level sensor in my new lawn mower. Have it set up to come on when the tank is low enough for a full gas can fill. Easy to choose the output mode and adjust sensitivity. Applied with double stick tape. Only issue was the small ga wire difficult to connect. It came with a female 4 post connector for PC board but it needs a mate and pigtail. Ended up cutting the connector off and using the small wire ga car stereo two piece screw together connectors for the splicing. So far so good.
