Yes, this is an excellent oil and I've use it for decades on both of my vehicles. However. No matter how good the oil is that you put in your engine, if you base your oil change intervals on what it says on the container (in this case 15,000 miles) you will destroy your engine. Change your oil every 5,000 miles or twice per year, which ever comes first. That's it. Oil changes are inexpensive, your engine is not. I just completed a top-end restoration on my 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 6.0 that has had its oil changed as stated above for 23 years. When the valve covers came off, the mechanic doing the work said, "I've never seen rockers this clean."

The only oil I use on my 04 wrx. Cheaper to buy on here than your local parts store and the convenience of not having to drive and pick it up.

Regardless of the weight your car needs, Castrol is an excellent oil and I've used it since early 80's in everything I've owned. Never had any engine problems with any car I've used this in. Great quality oil at a great price. I ALWAYS recommend Castrol to anyone who asks what they should buy.

This is a good product and is underrated as oils go on the market ‘ but I believe if one can buy it when it’s on sale $26/27 for 5 liters and use it every 5000 mile it will keep one’s car running like a clock ( my personal Volvo xc60 is as quite as a mouse peeing on cotton after 250,000 mls ‘and I have not as yet had valv adjusted or timing chain noise !
