This Spice Islands Premium Taco Seasoning has easily become my favorite taco seasoning! The flavor is much richer and more unique than standard taco packets, with a perfect balance of smoky chipotle, savory spices, and just a hint of depth from the cocoa powder. It gives taco meat an amazing restaurant-style flavor without being overly salty or artificial tasting. The corn meal also adds a nice texture and helps create a thicker, more flavorful sauce. I’ve used it for tacos, burritos, nachos, and even chili, and it works great every time. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients compared to cheaper seasonings. If you want a taco seasoning with bold flavor and a little extra complexity, this one is absolutely worth trying. I always keep it stocked in my pantry!

Wow! This stuff is amazing. Taking a whiff right out of the package was such a treat. An even better treat was heavily sprinkling this over some curly fries before they went in the oven. Delicious. It doesn’t have that American Mexican taco packet taste to it, with the maltodextrin that keeps those orange oils a powder before it’s been heated. This product has some actual tiny chunks of the ingredients used to make this spice blend, which is basically a declaration of just how natural it is! It still tastes like the packet seasoning in the aspect that it has all the familiar flavors and smells, but it lacks that MSG umami tang to it & added sugar sweetness that is in the “fast food” taco seasonings you find at Stater Bros or Albertsons. Don’t get me wrong, my tongue loves that salty MSG taste! But it’s simply not a health product, whereas dried peppers and seasonings are like basically taking a multivitamin!

The best I have tasted. Better than a seasoning packet. I am getting lower on mine. I will definitely buy more!

This taco seasoning has great flavor and is Gluten Free. We have a Celiac in the house and has no side effects. We are heavy handed when we spice the meat and generally add a few extra spices, but definitely well worth it!

I love to make my own seasoning. Working as much as I do I always have some pre made seasoning to use on busy weeknights and I’ve tired a lot. This seasoning is just wonderful. I really can’t say enough about this one. This is not to hot for guests that don’t tolerate heat very well. I prefer hot tacos so the only addition I add is cayenne pepper to my liking. I use this in tacos , Chili and stews. I would recommend you try this if you are tired of the boring major brands in the boring supermarket spice isle. The stuff in the yellow packets don’t hold a candle to this. Treat the inner taco lover in yourself, and your dinner companions will thank you.
