Super easy spraying
The Rust-Oleum Fabric Paint did its jo just fine. My 9-foot umbrella is over 9 years old and faded from bright Red to pink. I used 2 cans of paint, one for each layer. I also added a “trigger grip” to the Rust-Oleum can and the job went easily and took a little over 2 hours, spraying two layers and waiting about an hour between sprays. The color, Chili Red is more Orange than red, but looks good with red brick. (See my photos). There was no clogging up of the paint spray as some reviewers stated, and the hand trigger is a “must” for every painter! Little pricey, but hopefully will be worth it. The umbrella feels and looks like new!! Highly recommend!!

Clogs Immediately
Despite constant shaking, the nozzle and can clogged literally every 20 seconds, which caused a big mess trying to clear with a pin and toothpick each time. I think the paint is too thick to flow from the attached nozzle. It's a shame because the color was perfect, and there aren't many other options for outdoor fabric paint manufacturers to choose from. :(

Great Paint
I have purchased this paint multiple times to spruce up the fabric on my outdoor cushions over the last 10 years. I went from olive green to navy this year. It will take more paint than you expect because it does absorb into the fabric but by far the least expensive way to update high quality cushions because replacements are too expensive or don’t fit and recovering cushions would be too expensive too!

With hot water, works
Worked well, but as others mentioned, cloggs were a near constant issue, but with a hot bucket of water nearby, I was able to put the nozzle briefly in the water to clear it and then start again. Others mentioned getting a better batch from Lowes, may be a good idea.

Amazing coverage
I had an old green awning that was supposed to be thrown away. When I looked at replacement costs, I decided to keep it. It sat in my backyard for over a year, until I got this idea to paint it. I used 2 cans and didn’t spray the inside of it. Outdoor fabric is tough to paint so if you have a larger project consider that you will need quite a few cans. I really needed 2 more cans to spray inside. Great product. It has endured very heavy rain and no color loss has occurred. No color transfer onto my pink colored house either.

Do NOT use for stencils!
This is very thin an wicks through the fabric. Its almost like a cross between a die and a paint. If you try to use it for a stencil it will ruin your project. Seems fine for other purposes.

Coverage was as described.
Perfect for my use. Faded front porch cushions now look new. Admittedly it is basically for show as we rarely sit out there.

Where's the propellant?
I have used this item in the past ordering a couple of cans at a time. This time I went for the box with 6 cans, the first can was fine, the second seemed to run out of propellant with a quarter of the can contents remaining. The remaining 4 cans all still had half the paint left but no propellant. I did all the shaking and cleaning the spray nozzle as instructed. I used by hand and with a cap sprayer and with most of the paint in the can I can barely get a spit out. Got 1-3/4 paint out of 6 cans.
