Can this box withstand 50-60 mph winds on a pier that has been secured

This model does come with two dock mounting brackets that can be used to secure the box on both ends to the dock. We have not done specific wind resistance testing so I cannot give you an accurate mph rating. However, I asked our engineers about this and they have agreed to do some testing, so we may have a more specific answer for you soon.

Will this box be sturdy and water resistant enough to mount on deck of a salt water trawler?

This item is designed to be used on a “dock” and not on a boat. It is weather resistant, not water proof. It does have stainless steel hardware to resist rusting caused be salt water.
