Can't make a good Christmas holiday fruitcake without it! I use the Paradise brand for candied fruit every year. I have my mom's recipe, which is over 100 years old. For myself...and friends...once baked (2 loaves), I wrap them in brandy soaked white cloth and refrigerate for 10 days at least. It remoistens everything and is unbeatable for flavor. I share with several friends who absolutely hate fruitcake until they tasted my mom's! Now, it means I have to make more for their holiday gifts! It really is great!
