I’ve never had long beautiful nails and my hands are naturally short// stubby. With that, I’m proud of how the colors make my nails look. Pro Tip: 0. Pre-wipe with polish remover 1. Push cuticles 2. Start with thin layers 3. Apply top coat :dry a little bit: 4. Go over with another thin layer for more opaque color :dry a little bit: 5. Apply top coat again for finish It helps that that top coat is quick dry// no UV cure required. Also, beautiful shine !! That’s the wonders of gel manicure!! It’s long lasting (color//high shine), more durable (less likely to chip) and feels more high quality . The odor for this isn’t as harsh as some other nail polish brands I tried which is a lot.

Great color and lasts

Updated 6/28/26 to add an image of New Highs with and without camera flash - it's the perfect summer blue. Rich, vibrant and very striking. I used three thin coats. Two gave good coverage but three gave me the depth and saturation I was looking for. I topped it with Step 2 Gel Couture top coat. I continue to be very impressed by this polish. It wears very well and the color choices for the most part are great. I wish the polish colors could all be reviewed separately because each is very different, but it's not allowed. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Original four star review of Strut With It - On my skin tone, 'Strut With It' is a beautiful blue based bright, mid-toned purple. It goes on smoothly and it looks good in two coats. I also used one coat of the step 2 Gel Couture top coat. Definitely don't skip that step. I have several colors in the Gel Couture line. It's so convenient to not have to use a base coat. I change my polish every 5 days, so I can't speak to durability beyond that, but it usually always still looks great whenever I remove one color to paint on the next one.

This polish lasts a good week without chipping. Im an active person and artist - always using my hands. The colors is gorgeous and Im a big fan of purple 🥰 Ive gotten lots of compliments on this color too.

Pros: Durable: Did not begin to chip until about day 9-10. I’m going to try a touch up and see if I can make last 2 -3 weeks. There’s a strong possibility this could work. Kept my nails strong No clumps Good bottle size Color: I bought the nude lavender (can’t remember the name exactly) and it’s a pretty nude color. It can look grayish is some lights but definitely has some nude lavender in it. If you’re not into that grayish look you might not like this. Cons: Coverage : would like if the color were a bit more saturated/higher pigment density. I put 2 coats and really needed 3 in my opinion for a deeper, more saturated color (opaque)- especially on the ends of the nail. I would love to buy an ivory or nude pink color but reviews pretty much say the color is too sheer. Would love color options to be more opaque.

Wow. This stuff is legit! Day 10 & still going. Gel manicures ruined my nails so I will never do them again. But regular polish, even expensive enamel, never makes it to day three. By the second day, it’s chipping and peeling, and looks horrible. I’m just in water too much, using my nails for everything, so it is not worth the trouble. BUT… I put this stuff on and 10 days later it still looked pretty good! It’s unbelievable. It didn’t start really coming off until I took it off. In the picture you can see a little wear at the ends of my nails and around the cuticles, where I picked at it. Also, the color - Perfect Posture, was a little too shockingly white-ish purple (Halloweenie, according to my son and friends), so I mixed in a little of a mauve Essie color called Take Me To Thread, also an Essie gel couture color. Other than prep my nails really well, the only other thing I did was add an extra topcoat on day three, thinking I might be able to get four or five days out of it. I never imagined I would get 10 days! No lie, people. This stuff is a game changer. For the first time since the start of the pandemic, I’m wearing polish again. My new favorite right now is a color called Tassel Free. Also including a picture of that on day 3 after application. (No 2nd topcoat).

I am extremely happy with this purchase. The product arrived quickly, was well packaged, and was exactly as described. I apply a thin base coat and allow it to dry, followed by a thin coat of Essie Gel polish. I then wait approximately one hour before applying the second coat. The issue arises after the second coat is applied, as the polish remains soft throughout the entire day. Any contact leaves visible marks, and even something as simple as removing a card from my wallet can cause the polish to slide off completely. The polish does not fully harden until the following day, which is an unreasonably long drying time. Applying only one coat is not a viable option, as it results in a streaky finish with insufficient opacity.
