With this one I was a little skeptical because this company's website sucks (no matter what section you click on it shows ...
Update part deuce: The pink tint returned again so I'm dropping the rating again. I'm returning this one and replaced it with the awakelion 4x2 matrix I got off amazon as well. So far no pink tint on it.Update: Like Lee Corso, not so fast my friend. I had to bring this down 1 star because not even within a week of use I got a pink tint on 1 input for OutputB. I turned it off and back on and it cleared for a minute then came back. However once changing inputs and coming back to that same input it was back to normal. It continued fine for the next 30 minutes I used it. I don't know if it was a little hiccup but if it messes up again I might swap it out. I purchased 2 other switches on Amazon to try several and was getting ready to return them, but I might give one of them a shot if this one messes up again. Picture attached so you know I'm not just talkin noise.I needed a 4x2 matrix that would pass through 5.1 or 7.1 to the HDMI outputs and this one works. I have some devices I want to send to 2 receivers with surround setups and originally tried monoprice's blackbird 4x2. It would only pass through 2 channel audio no matter what I did even though their description says 7.1 LPCM/DTS-HD/DolbyTrueHD is supported. This one I set to ADV and it passes through whatever I set on my input source. I spent hours looking at different ones but most people's reviews only mentioned the video part, I couldn't find anyone who was passing the output to receivers. With this one I was a little skeptical because this company's website sucks (no matter what section you click on it shows the same devices, and this one isn't even there), but it works just like I needed. Also if you plan to use this with harmony, the bottom of the device says part number CRT-402U but if you add it as that part it is not correct. I had to add it myself but taught it all the commands no problem. I don't know if what I added is now in the harmony database but I put it in as CSRET HIFI 4x2 HDMI Matrix in case it is. I have this in a rack with the blasters pointed at it so I have no remote issues. You will lose video on both outputs for a few seconds when you switch inputs but I am ok with this. I thought I was gonna have to spend a lot more to get a device that does what I needed but this is it sub $100.

Finally one that works
I have tried several of these and finally got one that works. Most of these splitters/switchers have an auto switch feature that doesn't work with DIRECTV because DIRECTV is always on giving a signal making the splitter unable to distinguish which one to turn on. The ones I've tried kept toggling between signals and would produce a picture without sound or nothing at all. This works perfect because I have to switch it myself. The remote does the job so I can switch from my recliner to DIRECTV to my blue ray player to my Amazon Fire without the signals crossing.

An excellent product with a minor design flaw
Honestly, I'm a bit hesitant as to whether I should rate this very highly or rate it rather poorly. Here's why. The device does what it's supposed to do - it works well & displays good quality HD video on both HDMI outputs, whether from the same, or different, inputs (albeit with a slight lag when inputs are switched); for that I'm giving it 4 STARS. However, the form factor is completely different & looks nothing like the images in the description (2 STARS), which is why I've averaged my ratings and awarded it 3 STARS. I either got a newer/older version; whatever the case, it amounts to a measure of false advertising. Now, let's get into the specifics. I was expecting a switch with ALL I/O ports on the rear of the device, as shown in the product images; instead, I got a switch with ports on the back & BOTH SIDES. As a result of moving ports from the back to the sides, the item has shrunk considerably compared to the advertised model. Ordinarily, that wouldn't be a big deal - might even be a good thing - but since high-quality HDMI cables aren't exactly super flexible, routing cables from the side-facing HDMI ports to the back of the switch poses a slight challenge. This was intended to go into a server rack where, ideally, if all cables fed into, and out of, the device from the rear, it would have only taken up half the space on a single shelf and the cables wouldn't be visible. Instead, with cables coming out left & right, it took up most of the shelf space and now lacks the professional look I sought. To put it differently, my problem with the device isn't that it's 'smaller' than I expected, but rather, the smaller form factor takes away the ability to route the cables in and out of it in a clean/professional manner. Notwithstanding, I've always preached 'function over form' so, I'll give it a couple weeks and hopefully, I'll be able to look past the cables that look like tentacles coming out of the device on 3 sides.

Junk switch never worked right ended up frying Dish reciever
I wish I could give it no stars I would. This switch from the get go acted up and sometimes the audio would work other times you and to play with the buttons to get it to work. The final straw was when the switch fried the hmdi on my dish reciever and on one of its ports. This switch is going in the trash and a 4x4 matrix switch I already had one like is gonna go in its place

Works great...easy setup.
4X2 powered manual HDMI matrix switch w/remote for directing up to four inputs to two outputs with option to split off audio from the first output. After a month though, I realized the CSRET 4x4 would have been a better choice for me so it might be a good idea to "buy ahead" of immediate needs.

My husband was very pleased with this
My husband was very pleased with this! It's really neat to be able to share access from tv/game consoles on different TV's in the house using this device.

its a nice device, works as described
its a nice device, works as described, did not give it five stars due the remote slow response, short range (have to get up and walk closer to device) and not programmable to universal remotes.
