Nice
This induction cooktop exceeded my expectations. It heats up incredibly fast and cooks much quicker than my regular electric stove. The touch controls are simple to use, and I love the adjustable power and temperature settings for different types of cooking. The glass surface is smooth and very easy to clean, and the unit feels lightweight but sturdy. Itโs perfect for small kitchens, RVs, camping, or adding extra cooking space during busy meals. The safety features like auto shut-off and child lock give extra peace of mind. Overall, itโs efficient, convenient, and a great value for the price

If it's Mueller I Know it's High Quality.
I have had to acclimate to the power of this induction unit. Using a gas stove is slow and turns my pans black. This is great on everything but I suggest you stay with it for a second when you are guessing the right temperature you need. Tonight I boiled eggs and they boiled over three times and that takes real talent to mess up boiled eggs. I just couldn't get it low enough with the lid on it until I turned it down to 212. I discovered if I left the lid off it could boil at 260. It appears when you lid your boiling eggs it is going to affect the boiling temperature which somehow affects the burner and the digital heat setting. Moral, don't use a lid on water or when boiling etc. I did steam in a large pot w strainer w lid, and no problem there so maybe the pan size is the difference. Still learning on this one. I did note the surface had a plastic covering as one person said. I thought that comes off on some appliances but I'm going to be very careful w mine because electric stove tops scratch up easily. Just have to realize even if there's a problem this company is happy to accommodate. I got my brother an item. He had a small problem and no questions asked - he was sent another w/o even returning the first. Not sure why it says frequently returned but if you can't handle the very strong heat this plate makes please return it because its nothing to fool with. Im learning and I love an electric stove. I want to avoid gas because I come from a town where not liking gas is like buying a Ford when there's a Chevy plant in town. Its a natural gas town. Anyway, if you go into one of the very old homes you can smell gas odor just from the long use of it. I don't think using gas is safe to breathe though people swear by it. Also if you have a gas leak you can become accustom to the smell and not know you have a leak. I'd rather have an electric stove but in my area of CA gas is used more. This is an awesome product. I'm loving mine. I will still be careful though because it requires a careful person when you are dealing with such a powerful unit. Love Mueller products. They really sell powerful long lasting products. Thank you Mueller.

Excellent product. BE SURE to use magnetic cookware. Test pans with a refridgerator magnet first!
I would suspect the reason many of these are returned is because buyer's don't realize they need magnetic, inductive cookware. It is very solid, well built, very thick cord and it's worked flawlessly over 2 years. Very impressive at any price.

Nice little hot plate
I bought this hot plate, because I didn't have a stove for a bit and was considering changing to induction. This thing is AMAZINGLY fast at boiling water. I timed it, and it boiled a gallon of water in less than 2 minutes. It is taking a bit of getting used to, but I really like it. There are a couple things that I don't appreciate. The first thing is, the tempature control could be more fine tuned. It jumps around in 40 and 50 degree intervals. Sometimes it is just a bit too hot and I turn it down and then it is a bit too cool, or vice-versa. You do have to make sure you have the correct type of cookware. If a magnet sticks to the bottom it will work. If you lift your pan you have I think 30 seconds to put it back on or it will shut off, unless you hit the lock button. It has a very low setting for keeping things warm, but I haven't used that yet. I like how it just heats the pot and really keeps the surrounding area cool, except for the spot where the pot actually was. I also like that it is small enough to take with you camping, tailgating or to an outside party. You will need a power inverter or generator if no plug is available. I am glad I bought this and super glad it works with cast iron, because I love to cook with that. It has been a nice introduction to induction cooking and I look forward to my new cooktop for my kitchen.

Temp control does not work. Other reviews say the same thing
Be warned that when the unit is turned on it stays on. No temp control other than manually by you tuning off and on. I set it to 350 with oil in the pan. Using an accurate temp probe the oil continued to climb and climb reaching over 500 deg---set to 350!!! It doesn't shut off at the set temp. I still use it cause it was cheap. I use my temp prob and shut the thing off when it hits my temp. Then turn it on and of during the cooking process. It does heat fast.

Over all, This was a great purchase.
Over all, This was a great purchase, that I've been using almost every day since I got it. I've waited for several months before I reviewed this to really put it through its paces, and to see how well it held up, and while there been a very small amount of heat distortion from a pan that must have gotten extra hot; the overall performance has been consistent, and has done the job I require it to. For the price, when bought with a warrantee just in case; its a hard deal to beat. it has a few peculiarities, for instance the number of heat settings is not based on degrees in a way you can just increase the heat 20 degrees or something. but it has preprogrammed heat levels, and they cover the temperatures most things cook at. you can adjust it after hitting a preset to take it up or down on the fly. as cooking with induction is a bit different than electric or gas, its actually helpful at finding the right temps to cook things just right. it also keeps using energy until you unplug it from the wall. but, that's easy enough to do. it will turn off when plugged in, but the digital display will still draw power, so keep that in mind. the stove top itself is glass, and doesn't get hot itself, though some residual heat can make the top hot, after something has been on it long enough that is hot. so don't do something dumb like touch it immediately after cooking something. that said, it also cools very quickly. All in all, its been a blessing in my life, as I hoped it would be, and allowed me to start eating good healthy food, much more consistently. I recommend giving it a try. The seller is a good seller, who was right on time, no shipping hassles, and communicative. She goes the extra mile in my experience. And that's a good thing.

Gift idea? /Fantastic Induction Cooktop for Modern Cooking
I recently purchased the Mueller RapidTherm Portable Induction Cooktop, and I must say, it has worked great cooking Inside the house and I plan to use it while camping was the main reason I purchased mine. First off, the 1800W power and 8 temperature levels up to 460ยฐF give you an immense amount of control over your cooking. Whether I'm simmering delicate sauces or boiling water for pasta, this cooktop offers precision that's hard to find in traditional stovetops. One of its standout features is how it can boil water super fast - I'm amazed at how quickly it heats up compared to my old stove. The LED display is clear and easy to read, making it straightforward to adjust settings on the fly. The automatic shut-off and pot detection features are brilliant for safety and energy efficiency. I've never felt safer using any kitchen appliance; it turns off automatically if no pot is detected, which is perfect for those moments when you get distracted. The child lock function is another thoughtful addition, especially for households with curious little ones. It gives me peace of mind knowing that the cooktop can't be accidentally turned on. I'm also a fan of the four pre-set programs for boiling, frying, heating milk, and keeping food warm. These have streamlined my cooking process, especially when I'm juggling multiple dishes. The design is sleek and modern, fitting beautifully into my kitchen decor. It's surprisingly lightweight and portable, making it ideal for small spaces or for taking to a cabin for a weekend getaway. Clean-up is a breeze since any spillage doesn't burn onto the surface like with traditional gas or electric burners. Just wipe it down, and you're done. However, the only negative I've noticed is the wattage; be aware of where you are plugging it into. The 1800W can be quite demanding on some circuits, so if you're in an older home or using it with other high-power devices, you might want to check your electrical setup to avoid blowing a fuse. In conclusion, the Mueller RapidTherm Induction Cooktop is not just a cooking tool; it's an upgrade to your culinary life. I recommend if you are cooking meat or anything else start with a low temperature especially if you are using butter so that you don't burn the butter fast this thing really heats up instantly it takes some time to master if you are used to only using gas stoves. But its worth the results the food turns out wonderful every time ive used mine. If you're looking for efficiency, safety, and precision in a compact form, this is definitely worth the investment for your kitchen or camping adventures would make a great gift as well.

Cooks really fast!
Boils water in about 3 minutes. Heats up to fry an egg so fast, I've never seen anything like it. Noise level is tolerable. I don't plan on spending a lot of time cooking on this anyway . I'm using it for fast meals. Not as portable as I'd hoped. I might not use it in the camper van after all. Would have been fine when I had the RV bus. Quality looks good but some customers said it failed after a few months. I am not using it that much so I'm sure it'll be fine. Comes with a one year warranty that is good to know.
