I very much like that they take up so little space. Enough light for our needs and the fact that the height can be adjusted is a nice feature. Simple design and attractive.

I needed a task lamp for a project I’m doing and was hoping to find one that was also fairly nice looking. This one seemed to fit the bill so of course I ordered it. Assembly is a breeze, it goes together in five minutes very easily. The base is heavy, and using only the bulb supplied, the light is adequate. The weird thing is, though, that the lamp wobbles. The base isn’t flat on the bottom. Since I only want this for certain tasks, and it won’t stay in my living room forever, and it was inexpensive, I’m going to keep it, but if I had wanted this as a permanent feature in my living room, I would have returned it.

Small and pretty thing

Good lamp and very simple for my elderly mother who is not good with electronic lights. Regular light bulb and a simple switch to turn on and off. Easy to make it for use with a chair--just took out one section. My mom loves it!

Measurements for lamp are correct. However, seller indicates that a smart or dimmable bulb can be used (non-dimmable bulb included, a “warm or soft light”- yellow-toned). The switch is off/on only; no play in switch to accommodate a dimmable or smart bulb. I put a dimmable bulb in lamp, does not dim - just off/on. The extra 6% off did not populate in cart. I reached out to seller with these two issues; he/she could not be bothered with a response. The 8+” base is heavy enough to be stable; paying $9 more for a slightly larger base and slight wider lamp shade IMO not really valid upcharge. I wanted this lamp for a craft lamp, used a 40 watt equivalent LED “Daylight bulb”, and it works great as a craft lamp. The trick is using a Daylight or Natural Sunlight bulb (not soft or warm light). It remains to be seen how durable the lamp will be as some reviewers reported stopped working after a short period of time or would not turn on at all. All of the pieces in my package received appeared new and the lamp was fairly easy to assemble. Lowered star review due to seller misrepresenting lamp description and failure to respond to valid inquiry.

I've had this lamp for 2 years; however, for about this last year I have had trouble with the knob at the top of the shade that is used to turn the light on and off. It is almost frozen in place so that it is nearly impossible to move. I am going to discard this lamp for this reason. It has become unusable.

I was not sure if the lamp would work because of the low price. Lamp arrived, was easy to assemble, and works very well.
