This was the first time I'd bought one of these and a difficulty level 5 was a steep learning curve. I recommend buying the snippers and needle nose pliers and the auxiliary tool kit from piececool too a without them this would have been almost impossible. Some of the pieces in this kit are absolutely tiny and required 3 or 4 bends. I soon purchased a magnifying headband with interchangeable magnifiers with different strengths of magnification as I think without it I wouldn't have been able to complete this. I made a few mistakes and it took me around 20 hours to complete this but the finished product is great. It's sturdy and amazingly detailed. The instructions are easy enough to follow and putting the pieces together is fairly simple. This is not an easy project to complete. You will need the tools and I recommend a magnifier for the smaller pieces and a steady hand but I thoroughly enjoyed completing this project and will complete more in the future. If you want a challenge this is definitely for you.

After working my way up from easier models of this type I thought I would challenge myself. Definitely need the tab twisting tool for this one. I find some patience, some walking away and coming back a day later, helps with building these more complicated ones. This went well until right at the end when trying to fit it on the base and the various twists in connecting pieces meant it wasn't just quite flat along the bottom. But gently pressing here and there and tightening the bottom tabs means it looks near perfect. This is not easy to hold without bending tiny spires once it is starting to take shape, but in the end, well wort the effort, and looks very well. Especially after I put a small led light in the centre of it.

I bought this as a gift for my dad but was a bit disappointed- it arrived in a box smaller than A5 so it’s bound to be really fiddly and not sure dad will be able for it!

I bought this for my 14-yr old son and found myself so jealous watching him make it that I bought one for myself! I highly recommend buying the Piececool tools to help make this and, even then, it is challenging due to its incredibly small parts. The packaging is very nice and the instructions are very easy to follow. All-in-all, the design of the entire product is superb. I'm not finished it yet but I'm really enjoying seeing the model grow - the detail is amazing! I'm not sure how long this will take to finish but I certainly feel I've got good value for money!

Amazing when finished but a steep learning curve - l recommend getting some decent pointed pliers, the bending and shaping Rod kit and a decent magnifying glass which is hands free and had led lights to work with as some of the parts are tiny and need to be shaped and fitted into place. This kit kept me occupied for hours and l have purchased a couple more - keep an eye out for the special deals Amazon has on these and they can be bought for a great price - l just bought the "Black Pearl" for less than £14.00.

The model comes in a gold foiled sturdy box with a picture of the completed model on the lid and looks a quality product.On opening the box this quality is confirmed in the very detailed coloured metal parts of the model ,the filigree like detail on the windows is particularly impressive.In the instructions similar parts are colour coded which helps in the assembly.This is built in sections that are asembled onto the base to complete the model.I would say if you've never built one of these models start with easier model to gain experience of the simple techniques used in assemblyA few inexpensive tools are required like a pair of side cutters(to remove parts from the five metal sheets) and a small pair of pliers to bend the tabs that hold the model together i bought some of mine from pound stores.A magnifier is also a help as some of the parts are small .I have built a few piececool models in the past and the finished model never fails to impress with their quality and incredible detail, this one is no exception. Buy it and with a little skill and patience you won't be disappointed.
