Perfect for Ham and Beans or Split Pea Soup
When you don't have a meaty ham bone available and want to make your comfort foods, these sliced ham shanks are the ingredient you need. Unlike grocery store ham hocks, these are meat, not gristle and skin, and the flavor is superb. They are vacuum packed in 1 lb pouches, which I find to the the right amount for one to two pounds of beans. The shanks arrive in a styrofoam cooler with some cold packs, but are not frozen solid. I froze the last batch when they arrived about a year ago and just used the last package, which was still in perfect condition. Great company with an excellent product.

Very tasty without a lot of salt. I made 15 bean soup, next its a German dish.

A very good ham shank
These ham shanks are good but they are a little on small side , must’ve been from a tiny pig . King Soopers and Safeways shanks are unfortunately a lot bigger and less expensive

Great taste
Just got these earlier this week. Wasn't expecting them until this coming week, so kudos to Burgers for getting them to me quicker than expected. Just made split pea soup with the first package and it came out great. The hocks gave it great flavor and meat shredded easily of the bones. The hocks were meatier than store bought and the bones were very small. Good buy I think and I will be ordering again when I run out of this order

Worth every penny! Very nicely smoked, lean and meaty.
Perfect to upscale a recipe where pork hocks would be used. Excellet for bean or pea soup and great with kraut. Perfect for roasting.
