The AcuRite Color Digital Weather Station uses patented Self-Calibrating Technology to provide your personal forecast of 12 to 24 hour weather conditions. Self-Calibrating Forecasting is generated from weather data measured by a sensor in your yard - giving you the most accurate forecast available for your exact location. The vibrantly colorful, backlit LCD screen includes indoor/outdoor temperature and humidity, moon phase, barometric pressure with weather trend indicator, time, date and a humidity level icon to easily convey a low, high or ideal humidity level. Intelli-Time clock automatically updates itself for Daylight Saving Time. Display stands upright for tabletop use. The outdoor sensor features powerful wireless technology, a weather-resistant design and an integrated hanger for easy mounting. It's more than accurate, it's AcuRite. Review: I love it, but - Yes, I love it, but! I've read that the backlight causes the room temperature to read high, and, after using this for a few days, I think that it does. I have another, less expensive AcuRite monitor, which I'm testing this weather station against, and it does seem that the indoor temperature and humidity of this weather station are reading high. The only problem, is that I'm having a hard time finding a way to get an accurate room temperature, so I can't really be sure that this monitor isn't accurate. Along side my other monitor, the outside readings of the weather station seem to be fairly accurate. You can calibrate all of the readings (really simple to do), but, as I said, without knowing if and how much off this weather station is, I don't know whether I need to calibrate it. Anyway, except for that, and, of course, as almost everyone else has pointed out, the viewing angle is TERRIBLE, I will say that I really do like this weather station. The screen is bright (although you can dim it two "stops" down), and all the readings are well laid out and big and easy to read. I'd buy it again. Oh, I forgot, I did buy it again. I just ordered another one of these for my bedroom. So, yeah, I like it. :-) Review: Fantastic weather station - I had purchased several weather stations, without much success. However the AcuRite 02016 for me brilliant. Easy to read from close a far, the auro night screen dimming makes possible to read the screen 24/7. So many weather station screens are cluttered with way too much data. This ArcRite had the right balance, sinl, e, clear and can read from a distance. The unit is main feed supplied, a must have as battery powered unit with screen just last. Very happy and all the family even comment of screen and ease of reading. ## Features - Patented Self-Calibrating Forecasting pulls data from a sensor in your backyard - Daily high/low data and all time high/low records with time stamp - Intelli-Time clock automatically adjusts for Daylight Saving Time - Enhanced 433 MHz signal transmits data from outdoor sensor through walls & from a distance - Tabletop design and attractive color display make it the perfect weather station for your desk or countertop ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00FVC1LDC | | Additional Features | Color Display | | Are batteries included? | Yes | | Battery Life | 1000 Hours | | Brand | AcuRite | | Brand Name | AcuRite | | Color | black | | Connectivity Technology | wireless | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 441 Reviews | | Display Type | LCD | | Finish Type | [INFERRED] Glossy | | Frequency | 433 MHz | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00072397020169 | | Included Components | Digital Display, Wireless Sensor, Battery, Mounting Hardware | | Is Used Where | Indoor, Outdoor | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 76.2D x 20.3W x 15.2H centimeters | | Item Weight | 499 g | | Manufacturer | Acu-Rite | | Material | All-weather material | | Material Type | All-weather material | | Model | 02016A2 | | Number of Batteries | 5 AA batteries required.
