That’s what I would buy it for.** A: It works well for that purpose. I wash all my clothes using this spinner. From my knickers to my trousers, it does a bang up job getting rid of dirt. It's brilliant for it's dual purpose use. When I'm not using it for laundry, it's perfect for washing my salad greens. It's perfect for drying cabbage fillings for Chinese take out egg rolls. You know you need to squeeze the water out of the veggies if you want really crispy egg rolls. **Q: Does it say bpa free on the box?** A: Yes, it says BPA free on the front of the box **Q: How do you clean top does it come apart?** A: The underside of the top is like a dish, except for the center which has a few narrow slots. Unless you are spinning something very finely chopped, such as coleslaw, there's not much danger of anything getting stuck in there. Inside the top are springs and such. If the top comes apart, I don't know that I would dare to monkey with that.
