Im sorry i cant really answer .. i placed it outside an apartment door so its not exposed to the weather outside But in general its a good product and does the job perfectly Has a very long battery life

There is no as such specific distance since the doorbell can be kept at a distance where their wifi has range . They need to use a 2.4ghz
