Normally I don't leave reviews, but this product worked awesome. I have a 2014 Jeep Wrangler and the rear defrost cable is attached to the back window by a small metal button. The button can become detached breaking the rear defrost. It can't just be glued back because the button is conductive. I tried a silver impregnated epoxy, but it has to be mixed a certain ratio or it won't stick and it has to be heated to a certain temperature for a certain time. It held for about a year and came off. I asked at different glass places, but they only replace the entire nine hundred dollar window, they don't just fix the button. Someone suggested Solder-It as it is a metal solder and has silver in it so is conductive. I cleaned the attachment point and button, put enough Solder-it to cover the back of the button, stuck it to the glass. Then took my small pencil torch, and while holding against the glass with the drill bit so I didn't burn my fingers and heated up the button to melt the solder. It took a matter of seconds and it was melted all the way around. I held it with the drill bit while the glass cooled. I'm happy to say it is stuck tight. I was also able to test it in last nights snow storm and the rear defrost worked like normal. Didn't have to futz with mixing or heating at a certain temp for a certain time. I'm all repaired for the cost of the Solder-it. Which beats a $900 rear glass replacement. Hopefully it will last. There was enough left over to do it again or if the other side comes off. Super happy with the purchase.

Almost impossible to use with a lighter. Using a butane torch is more feasible. Cannot control exact spot where the solder ends up because it tends to move around when it melts. After a few attempts my skills got better. The solder polishes well with jewellers rouge. Nice shiny surface. Good bond. Overall a very good product but be prepared to waste a lot practicing. Good luck.
