I have used these in the past and there has never been a concern. Decent quality stainless steel and high level of functionality.Definitely would recommend.

Fit right in, easy. Like the strainer basket very much. I installed this after removing a garbage grinder disposal, those things --REALLY?!? What a bad idea. Used the now unused electric wiring to install a light under sink, and that is a great side benefit.

I added a new sink and bout another one of these. I bought 3 previously for a 3 sink commercial grade sink for my home.This one fits and works well.I love the deep drain screen baskets.They make cleaning out the drain baskets an easy job.

Very easily installed and when you pop the stopper in the drain it provides an instant tight seal holding the water in the sink until ready to drain. The basket catches all the debris. Nothing catches around the rim unlike the drop in strainer types. Will be replacing all the drains with this.

Works insanely well and the basket is a huge help for cleaning out but up food residue. Install was crazy easy and has a foam gasket to seal on the sink side, I used silicone as well as the gasket and have no issues at all. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a new basket strainer!

I figured I would write a review since there aren't so many, just installed it today right our of the box after arrival. For starters the unit itself is pretty well made for the price. I like the fact it has a deep strainer because in our house we always have rice and other small food items in the sink when we do the dishes. (Since we don't own a dishwasher) The strainer basket itself isn't of the highest quality thickness and the hooks for the handles may be a problem down the line, but it will be up to you how rough you are with it whether it will last or not. (very neat bucket design to hold a lot more food garbage) The cap is great with a built in gasket to hold the water in the sink for washing dishes all in one sink of water. That in itself is good idea for reserving water so you can have an excuse to enjoy your hot showers just a bit longer. Mine came with the white gasket above the black one so I had to reverse that as pictured on Amazon. Screwed it on, no leaks I put the water on full blast hot and cold which comes out with a lot of pressure in my sink, no drips or gasket failure but we will see. One thing worth noting maybe is that the holes in the strainer are a bit small which is great to keep food from building up in the drain, but does drain water a little slower. I ordered plumbers putty too with this as I was in a race against time for one day shipping option to have our sink fixed as soon as possible. (Which was rusted out so bad and pvc was looking dated. Ended up not needing the putty but will keep it in case gasket failure somewhere down the road. Also bought with snappy trap drain kit which hooked up no problems. (A little crooked but still works) Great strainer for the price and nice looking, well worth the price.

This was very easy to install and it works great!The deep strainer contains debris so much better than a standard strainer.Food will still stick to the strainer but I don't think you can get away from that.

I didn't realize when I ordered it that this one has a little removable basket, so that you can let all your peels or food scraps from rinsing dishes collect in there, and then lift it out to dump into the compost bin. The drain is deep to allow for the basket, but still fits perfectly where my old, standard drain was. With the basket in, you can only use the stopper that came with the drain (which is totally fine, and fits nicely).If you want to use a regular sink strainer or plug, just take the basket out, and it works just fine. I tend to leave the basket out and use the steel strainer I already have, because otherwise I know my housemates would let the waste build up in the basket (eww!).
