My cat is 18 years old and has developed an allergy to chicken. This is the only cat food he will eat and can eat. He has been eating it for about a year now. His coat has improved with this food. I buy it when its cheaper on Amazon.

Great quality. Wish they were cheaper though. We have two cats that eat nothing but this so it gets expensive. We have one with pancreatitis and she is doing better on this, less throwing up. Not completely gone but definitely better. Both cats like the flavor, wasn’t always that way trying to find something that works.

Excellent food—my kitty loves it!

I have a large breed kitten who is fussy about wet foods. It took a lot of experimenting to figure out what he'll actually eat vs try to hide like a stinky poo (that also won't upset his sensitive tummy). All kitten specific foods got the poo treatment because F chicken I guess. Same with Fancy Feast and multiple other brands. No shreds or chunks. Has to be pate, but not just any pate. Some of the smells I smelled from both him and these canned foods... The duck flavor of Wilderness was tried at random from a variety pack and it's a success! One star off for the gas it gives him if he eats it all alone, but he gets the farts easily. He also loves a couple flavors of Instinct Original pate, so I mix the two together in a tupperware and portion it out for the day. This child has more expensive taste than I hoped but his poos are consistently solid at last, he's stopped dropping silent-but-deadlies on me during cuddle time, his fur is extra extra soft/shiny, and these two foods are some of the least stinky he could have chosen. ;u; My nose is so relieved.

As I have pointed out to my weird cat, this is FOUR TIMES as expensive as a can of tuna fish for a human. I do not know why, but it is the only kind of cat food my cat will eat. So, based on my cat's opinion, I am giving it 5 stars. However, I will mention that not all cats like it--my brother's cat spit at him and ran away when he tried it with him.

I had bought him a very expensive bougie duck pate and he hates it so much if I sneak it into his other food he wont eat any of it. But this one he ate it all and was very happy with his meal. I will be buying again. I like that the first 3 ingredients are duck, turkey broth, and chicken liver. I don't like that the 4th is potatoes and don't like the gums and carrageenan fillers. Sames as with human industrial food, not necessary and not good for glycemic cats. Seems impossible to avoid unless I make my own but don't have the time at the moment. I will buy this again.

I purchased this online for the convenience and the price- I had wrist surgery and was not able to drive or lift. My Siamese absolutely LOVES this blue wilderness duck recipe when I buy it from PetSmart, she licks the plate clean. I received this delivery, everything about the packaging was the same, I even double checked the best by date on the bottom (August 10 2019). When I opened the can I noticed 2 things right away -The color and the smell. Maybe it is a bad batch not sure. The color of the food was almost a shade of grey and it had an almost rancid smell to it. I didn't have any of the store bought to compare it to at the time, so I thought maybe it was all in my head, and I also know from experience that there can be slight variation from batch to batch. I fed the food to my kitties. They were NOT a fan, and were hesitant to even touch the stuff, and for the 1st time since I have owned them they developed a bad case of diarrhea that lasted for several days. After eliminating this food from their diet the GI problem continued. We took her to the vet to rule out anything more severe (as she was still drinking, eating and playing with her sister). The vet was not able to determine a definitive cause, suggested she probably ate something that didn't agree with her and gave us a probiotic. She is finally feeling better. and I purchased new food from the store and she is gobbling it all up like normal. Will not risk purchasing this again. Convenience and cost savings are not worth a sick kitty.

Generally speaking, all cat loves wet food better than dry food. With this one, all seems ok for now. The price is a little bit high tho.
