First off this says Siphon pump but it will pump fluid uphill which is how I used it. I think it may be called a siphon because the fluid may run faster / easier downhill if the outlet is below the inlet but it works fine either way.The hydraulic fluid inlet on the typhoon terror XVIII excavator is at the far side of the operator cabin below a little metal door and is nearly impossible to reach and poor in fluid without spilling. This pump worked very well to transfer the fluid. I over filled a little and had to reverse and pump some back out and it worked for that too. Strongly recommend. The Diesel fuel is right next to the hydraulic fluid and I ended up spending 5 times as much for a DC powered pump for that and after using both I think I would have been better off just buying an extra one of these. Your hand can get a little tired when transferring a lot of fluid but this one is so nice and small that it is just more convenient and a lot easier to keep clean.My only real complaint is the the outlet hose should be about 3 foot longer. It would also be nicer if they included a zip close bag to hold it once contaminated with oil or fuel.

It didn't come directions so I had to turn to YouTube. Which is where I learned about it in the first place. The one in the video I seen was slightly different from the one I received. Clap could have been more tighter. And it didn't work for me. No fluid came up. I'll probably sale it.

I have a generator because I live in a hurricane prone area, which means I need a way to get the gas out of it for storage. This is a must if you want it to work when you need it (and you want it to work!) This siphon pump worked great to pump the gas out without the usual gasoline mouthwash rinse. From there, run it until it dies because you can't get 100% out and you're ready for the next storm.

It worked great for a few months, then all of a sudden the hand pump completely quit working. I was using this on 50gal water drums.

There is a little arrow on the pump bulb so you know which way the fluid is intended to flow. I used this to transfer gasoline from my truck to a gas can after I removed the fuel pump. So I had a clear view of where the end of the tube is and the gas level. The little brass fitting weighed down the tube so it was in the bottom of the tank. I could relocate it by hand so as to avoid debris from the deteriorating fuel pump that was in the tank. Once you pump the first gas to fill the tubes, the one way valve allows fuel to continue flowing on its own. No stupid sucking and getting fuel in your mouth which is a NO NO since it is highly toxic and carcinogenic.

When it did work it was slow but at least did get some watermoved it just took it hours. Then when I went to try and continuously squeeze the bulb it would stop inflating and just stay flattened. A waste of 7$

This is a great product for small jobs. For one, it is hand or foot powered. For two, to empty something the size of a foot locker I had to use the Tupperware bowl shown in the photo (not provided with product). But the foot locker could not be allowed to spill, and was hooked under a pipe. So this pump did the trick, to allow me to lower the fluid level in the footlocker so the Tupperware bowel could do the heavy lifting. This is not an expensive tool, but I now consider it an essential one.

Amazing product, value for money item, I use it to drain Rain water from large tank into bucket and use it to water plants. Length wise it is good, I would have loved the pipe thickness to be more, but it works well.
