It can take about 20 mins to see it dry and harden. I bought this for exfoliating and for helping control blackheads and oily skin. If anyone has ever tried Glam Glow face mask, this item is similar. Although the smell is very different it seems to have the same type of tingle affect. So far I feel it is doing a great job so far. I can't just contribute it to this because I switched up everything in my skin care routine around that time but I do notice that my skin feels tighter and softer after I use this. I always use organic apple cider vinegar because it blends beautifully with that. I don't use water because it comes out lumpy and didn't mix well when I did. I found that I need to apply it first thing in morning right before I shower and rince it off in my shower. Afterwards I use a cleanser with a soft silicone scrubby to really clean it off of my face. I have some really big pores and I noticed that if I didn't do a good job with cleaning after I would get blackheads. I have really sensitive skin and am prone to outbreaks. This didn't break me out (besides the small blackheads, that's why it's a 4 out of 5) and I noticed it helped to dry out some of my smaller pimples. I have a large cystic one that it hasn't cleared up but my smaller ones it clears up right away. It does make my skin red but it doesn't itch or anything and the redness goes away after a little bit.
