This filter media is good, recommend for all fish keepers. It changed my water color, quality and smell. Price is cheap, there have 3 per box you just need to change once month. When I use for my new tank my fish are not stress. This thing is safe.

Great added filtering element

Works great and is a better priced option than charcoal and comes bagged making it easy to use. Lasts a while and the bags aren't weak, fits most filter boxes fine

Until I run it a while to see what improvements it makes (or not), I can't speak directly to that point. While not this, or any other brand, specifically - the chemistry data in the aquarist world speaks super-highly of the medium and its functional success. Putting out the effort to construct an external filtration system, it's a no brainer one has to use a corresponding medium. These bags are of a convenient size and volume, and will certainly fit well enough in my canister; whether one empties the contents into a canister or just drop it in bagged - I'm pretty sure it won't matter, at least as to filtration itself, it may be too small to stay put and migrate into a line, and a clog - that little aspect remains undecided for me as yet. I'm on a well here so I have some advantages other aquarists may not when it is to do with the water source itself; don't mistake natural well water with problem free, as it is not. I know there's no copper in or around my tanks, or water supply, there is something naturally in the water here that activates the copper band on the test strips, albeit a completely different color altogether; whatever it is, this medium is my 1st attempt at something to deal directly with it - although the external filter system itself is broader in focus, the algae and other organics primarily, including this 'multi-target' medium. If it actually requires 1 bag a month, for $2 each, there's not much in aquarism that's this inexpensive, and if I can prove out it's doing something productive then making it a regular part of the routine is completely doable. I'll report back after I have some solid info to work with and do an update.

This filter media works exactly as expected. The bags are well made, easy to place in the filter, and have held up without issues. Water clarity has been good, and it’s a straightforward, no-nonsense option for maintaining a freshwater aquarium. No dust problems, no mess, and no surprises. Simple, effective, and dependable.

This Fluval media pouch clears the water well and eliminates odor. I have ordered it a couple of times now, and the results are consistent. I will keep on purchasing them.

I use this in my Fluval 307 turtle tank and it works wonders with two turtles in a tank. It reduces the nitrate and no dust and last for over 2 months.

Does what it says and needed it for

Funzionano per tenere pulito il vostro acquario. Ma mi raccomando devono essere cambiati spesso (almeno una volta al mese) altrimenti perdono di efficacia e possono rilasciare sostanze tossiche. Visto il prezzo contenuto e' una spesa accettabile.

Da die OPTIMA Filterkohle, die ich bisher benutzt habe, leider nicht mehr verfügbar ist, musste ich mich um eine neue Filterkohle umschauen. Habe mich für Fluval Zeo-Carb 450g entschieden und bin bisher sehr zufrieden. Die Kohle filtert Ammoniak und andere Schadstoffe aus. Was für mich besonders angenehm ist: Ich habe einen EHEIM Professional Filter, in dem ich die lose Kohle früher zwischen die Wattefilter früher einstreuen musste. Die Fluval Kohle ist aber in drei feinporige Säckchen verpackt, sodass man sie superleicht dosieren und wechseln kann! So wird Filterputzen sehr einfach! Werde bei dieser Kohle bleiben, da sie alle meine Erwartungen erfüllt - und das zu einem guten Preis!
