A 1oz bottle in a single base coat can cover a good amount of surface area, however it may wear off in time. Applying multiple coats as well as using an acrylic finisher can help extend the durability of the paint. The best bet is to try out 1 bottle on your project and see if it is enough. Love the color options and it’s very easy to use. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Use quality masking tape for sharp results *by A***T on August 22, 2026* Purchased flat black and gloss purple to darken the white outsole of my Asics Gel Nimbus running shoe, to better hide any scuff marks. The property of this paint is excellent. It goes on smooth, and while the purple took four coats to cover, the paint never built up. This lack of building up is what prevents it from cracking. Also, I thought that maybe sanding the first coat might help. To my surprise, the finish is so durable, it resisted sanding, which means it will resist wearing from abrasion. The black paint covers so well, I only needed one to cover, and a second to give extra protection.
