**Q: Does this 3 liter jar's lid accept the 3.5" rubber gaskets and is it square as pictured?**
A: Not sure the gasket size but mine came with its own silicon-like gasket.

**Q: made in?**
A: Italy

**Q: Labeling states - "gaskets are designed for one-time use only. Is this only when used for canning? We were going to use these as cannisters.**
A: I use the jars as canisters and I take off the metal hardware & gasket when I throw them in the dishwasher. When the gaskets are just keeping air out of the jars, they can last me up to about a year. I've never used them in heat or for canning.

**Q: Will a measuring cup up to one cup size fit through the opening?**
A: I think that it might depend on the shape of the cup used. We have a pretty standard stainless steel measuring cup set. The one cup size barely fits in the neck (just verified that). So you might get it in but I doubt that you could scoop anything out. The 1/2 cup fits okay but you would need a long handle to be able to actually use it in any meaningful way.

I wanted a jar to use for sun tea but decided that, making it with warm water. In this jar works a lot better and has a better taste. I filter my water and I heat it up in the microwave. After my jar has been warmed up. I pour a little bit of heated up water in with tea bags. Then I let my tea sit for a little bit to cool down. Remove the tea bags and add a little bit of cold water or ice, then put in the jar in the refrigerator. It's the perfect size for a section in our refrigerator door it being square helps. Also, the jar's air tight.😉
