A Happy Five Stars!
I'm a writer and I love to write, so OF COURSE I I had to get an ink with this name! After many years away from them, I began to purchase a few fountain pens just to revisit the experience. I have four now, and I have this ink in two of them. In my vintage Pelican, the experience is like bread on butter. Peas and carrots. (Insert any other Forrest Gumpism here), and writes beautifully. Sometimes sitting at the keyboard is kind of tedious, while relaxing on a comfortable lounge chair with a cup of tea/glass of wine – depending on the time of day, of course – with a journal and a fountain pen is very soothing. This ink is not aggressively red; when it dries it is a deep blood purpleish color and very soothing to read. The ink itself is absolutely perfect and does not bleed through a good quality paper. If this ink is bleeding through for you, please revisit the paper you're using. For reasons other than just the quality of the ink, this is a very nice color. The fact that the ink itself is high quality just adds to the experience. A happy five stars!

Awesome blood red
Love it! First time using a fountain pen. I wanted to learn as I decided to use one to do my book signings because I only use UV ink; the cost of buying UV ink pens on repeat was super unrealistic to continue to do due to cost. So I bought a very affordable fountain pen but wanted something to practice. I specifically wanted something red, as I give hints to the readers by having certain words red in my novel, just in case I need to do a book signing event before I'm ready to write with the UV ink. This was not only the perfect shade, it doesn't run, there's no steaking, doesn't bleed through pages, and dries SUPER fast. Love it and will buy it again.

An absolutely MARVELOUS ink
This is beautiful ink. TBH, I bought it almost as a joke for the name, because I'm trying to earn kibble money by writing, and thought it would be fun to use it in my notebooks. But I have fallen in love with it! I will warn you, it's very, very wet and not to be used in gushers like several of my pens with Medium nibs (unless you like the feeling of painting rather than writing LOL). But in anything with a Fine or Extra Fine nib, it's amazing. Drying time, as you might imagine, is awful in a medium or broad nib, but fine with a fine or extra fine. The shading is magnificent if you, like me, lift your pen a lot. (I write in italic, so sometimes it's more like printing than a traditional cursive.) Weirdly, wet as it is, I have had no issues with it feathering, or even shadowing, which I'd expected, it's so dark. FWIW, I am using only 80GM paper. On the other hand, I am not bothered by shadowing unless it interferes with legibility on the obverse, so your mileage may differ. 10/10 would recommend, especially if you fancy yourself a writer and feel like you are bleeding onto the page sometimes 😆

Rich, deep, crimson color
Diamine’s *Writer’s Blood* is exactly the kind of ink that reminds you why you fell in love with fountain pens in the first place. It lays down a rich, deep crimson with remarkable saturation dark enough to feel serious, yet expressive enough to give your writing character. The flow is smooth and reliable, with just enough shading to add depth without sacrificing legibility. There’s a certain drama to it, a quiet intensity that suits everything from journaling to more deliberate, reflective writing. An evocative, well-behaved ink that earns its name.

Ain't "writer's blood," but it is nice
I bought this ink hoping for a realistic "blood red" color (for a Halloween display). A name like "writer's blood" made me think I had it, and the price was excitingly good for how much ink you were getting. Though the ink color does look nice and I will continue using it elsewhere, it's more of a purple/maroon than blood red (see attached image). I have found that as far as fountain pen ink goes, this one does stick around once it dries and doesn't smear badly. If you're looking for unique colors that will last a long time on the page, this is good ink to go for. Just don't expect the authentic "blood red" color if that's why you're looking into this one.

Perfect color!!
I am obsessed with this color right now!! I am using it in a medium nib Estie and it writes like a dream! I love the color and consistency. I like the price point of the smaller bottle, but find it difficult and messy to fill my piston filler fountain pen. I have purchased empty 30ml glass bottles to depot into. Worth it imo.

Deep and moody
Beautiful, very smooth ink. The colour looks like dried blood, but in a refined, atmospheric way rather than something kitschy or cartoonish. It genuinely affects your mood while using it.

Exceptionnel
