Worked fine after I predrilled oversize holes in the plywood deck.No breakage. Did have one (out of 21) that did not self tap. I used another screw to drill and tap the hole and replaced it with the dull screw.The waffer head and torx drive were what I wanted for this project.

I use these to hold down the plywood decking on my trailer. I like them because they go And nice and smooth so the head doesn’t stick up

For my application I was holding down 3/4" plywood into 3/16" wall tube steel. Going into if I figured I better pre drill a undersized hole. Unfortunately that did not work and still snapped the self drilling portion off each time.Pre drilling a 9/64 hole which basically bypasses the pre drill step worked great every time for the 30+ I did. I used a impact also and I would basically plan to break the tip off one of the drivers at some point. So have an extra T20 torx bit also.

Having to pre-drill your metal is a pain, but better than stripped heads and broken /dull drill points on fasteners- once installed the hold is good and the head is large.

When you need a self-tapping screw with a large head on it this is the way to go these work great would buy again

I used these to install new 5/8" marine grade plywood to my snowmobile trailer. It uses a T20 bit. Worked great! My advice, pre-drill the wood only and install.

NOT Self drilling had to drill every hole. DO Not recommend. You are wasting your money and time buying this product and snap off if you don't pre drill holes
