Melon Knife, 27.9cm 26120

If you're cutting melons, you will be very happy to have this knife. It's honestly more of a saw. Not just good for watermelon, but also good for cantaloupe. You could even use it on a few gourds. It slices through them all no problem. It's much better suited to this task than a non-serrated knife like a chef's knife. It's also much better than the serrated knives most people own, like bread knives. I'm actually kind of sad if I ever have to cut a melon with some other knife, because it's going to be that much more difficult for no reason.It's also really cute and attention-grabbing. Everyone asks about it when they see it for the first time.The only real downside is that this has no other purpose. Most of the year you are stuck with this ridiculous knife lying around the kitchen that hardly gets used.

This knife is not only fun to use when cutting up watermelon it really works as well as it claims which is a shocker. Most things these days say they can do all sorts of things when in fact they can not. This knife says it can easily slice watermelon...IT CAN. It says the little seed shaped holes help the knife keep from sticking to the said slice of watermelon...IT DOES. What a refreshing and novel idea. Produce a item that actual does what it is intended to do. Thanks! My husband eats watermelon almost everyday when it is in season. Only days he does not...when he can not find a decent one. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and have spent years leaning over top of knives while trying to force the knife through many a watermelon in my years (who hasn't right?) With this knife you wont have to. Buy it..you wont be sorry!

I got this knife a few days ago but didn't get a chance to use it until today. Firstly it is a lot bigger than is illustrated which really helps with the cutting of large watermelons. It is very well made. It performs as advertised. I was able to cut a watermelon in half the time it used to take me because the large sized knife, the super sharp knife blade, and the holes on the knife help the watermelon to fall away from the knife as you cut it, so I didn't have to pause and separate the watermelon from the knife with every cut. I love it. I should have gotten it a lot sooner. It's a must for all those who love watermelon.PS - it works great on pineapples and other fruits as well. Its not a one function type of tool. Fabulous!

This knife is long and sturdy and the only knife I trust my wife to use to cut watermelons because it is long, sturdy and lets you start by sawing through the thick rind.

Good sharp knife but it is hard to make a straight cut because the the blade is only beveled on one side. I could give it 4 stars since the blade is still holding its sharpness after two years of use, but it really annoys me when you cannot control how it cuts and a large watermelon is cut into somewhat wedge shaped pieces.
