Worked for me!
I was worried that this wouldn’t work after reading other reviews but it does. I had to plug my PS2 Slim into an older tv at first to change its settings to YPbPr/YCbCr output. If you don’t have an older tv around there are instructions in the reviews on similar items. Good picture and sound on my new samsung tv. Lots of gaming ahead for me now!

Doesn't even work
Cheap and easy to open up exposing the circuit board, tested for hours trying to get it to work which it didn't. Tested 2 HDMI cables, 2 TVS, 2 power cables for the cheap plastic device and no matter what I try it doesn't work. SCAM. Waste of money and now I have to refund it after accidentally ripping the terrible packaging it came in. SCAM. ruined my day completely and I can't believe this is being sold on amazon. Now I am thinking about GAME-ENDING my life

Plugged into back of PS2. Used cable from black box to PS2 front usb. Used Hdmi cable from little black box to TV. Switched on TV and set input to HDMI. Turned on PS2. Works First time. Only complaint is it sticks out a long way so is hard to protect and hide.

Works well if you follow 'set up' requirements
SET UP - Plug PS2 Slim into an older tv or monitor, as per photos, that has Composite/Stereo AV, i.e. three plugs: Yellow (Video) and Red and White (Audio) with original PS2 av cable. Turn on ‘older’ tv, connect wired PS2 controller. Turn on ps2. Go into ‘System Configuration’ and change ‘Component Video Out’ to ‘Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr. Turn off PS2. Connect ‘PS2 to HDMI Convertor’ to slim PS2, connect USB to front PS2 USB port. Connect HDMI cable from ‘Convertor’ to spare HDMI on ‘new’ tv. Switch everything on – Hey Presto.

Works well but PS2 needs settings changing before it'll work
I read the reviews before buying this and saw many stating it didn't work however one review mentions that the video output in the PS2 settings need to be changed from RGB to Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr. After this is done it works great. For the money I'm happy with the picture quality. Tested with PS2 "phat" and slim.

Very intrmitant, you have to poer on before conecting to the hdmi port
Very intemitant performance, interferes with other devices and 50% of the time it work other time you have to unplug then plug in both the playstation and adapter to get to work. Tried on 2 ps slims a original ps2 and a ps1.

Change settings in ps2
Good product pnve you get it working but had to check the reviews to find out how to do that. Thought I'd ruined my sister's birthday for like 10 minutes. Other than that it works fine
