I have one photographed here holding a 4x6 photo for reference. I tried a 5x7 greeting card and it worked, but looked sort of silly in my opinion because the stands are not very tall. I also found the weight of the photo to work better than the greeting card in keeping the stand upright. The gold is a traditional yellow gold - not "antique brass" like some decor has been that I have found.
