High quality seed
Great seed.. it germinates well and seedlings do not die off in extreme temperatures. The thin bladed rye grass is beautiful and durable. It’s costs a little more, but it’s worth it. I replanted a big section of my lawn several years ago and used this specific seed. It still looks great.

Great for a fast Lawn
We seeded a whole new lawn, and threw down seed mulch on top of it to help keep the seed moist and from eroding or being eaten by birds. We watered 2 x a day, had new growth in 3 days and a full lawn in less than one month! Beautiful product! No weeds in the seed. (The weeds we have, we already had anyway.) Love this product. BUT we sowed a lawn with this last year also and the south TX summer killed it since we had watering restrictions. If we had been able to water more, I think it would have done better. We are currently overseeding with Zoysia for summer conditions and the rye grass/roots will help keep the zoysia moist/shaded/in place to support it's growth. This grass seed is fast and beautiful if you need a fast lawn, and it's a great grass to use to support future grass sowings.

Quick to grow, but needs a bit of extra care
Pennington Smart Seed Perennial Ryegrass germinated quickly — I saw growth in just over a week. It creates a thick, vibrant green lawn that looks great and holds up well to light foot traffic, making it very functional for everyday use. It does best with consistent moisture and full or partial sun, and while it handles moderate heat fairly well, I had to water more frequently during hotter days to keep it from drying out. Some shady areas needed reseeding, but overall, the coverage and durability were impressive. For the price, it offers solid value for money, especially if you’re willing to give it a little extra attention in problem spots.

This grass seed is fantastic
Two weeks ago I put down a bag of Pennington Smart Seed in several bare areas, and I used some Scott's EZ Seed. After regular watering and cars, the Pennington grass is about an inch tall and thick. Scotts? Hasn't sprouted at all. I bought another bag of Pennington to use where Scotts failed. This is a solid product.

Decent grass seed
Worked for the most part. Used to re-seed some bare areas caused by lawn mower scalping. Saw new grass after a week but expected more considering the amount of grass seed that I used.

Amazing, grows quickly!! Great Product!!
Amazing, fast growing grass seed & did receive growth results within 5-8 days. The grass blades are a nice medium green that blended in greatly with our mature lawn. Tip: Rake the dirt spot and seed needs to be covered with dirt to see quick results in growth. Watered covered seed for 5 days and after growth.

Grass for Days
I got this to mix into Bermuda grass so in the winter some of the grass would still be green. Didn’t expect it to sprout because it’s summer time and hot as heck. This is a cool weather grass. We got a ton of rain and it grew like weeds (probably not the right term to use with grass; ha ha!). We had a ton of rain and this started growing 2 days after the first rain. Sprouted immediately. The Bermuda I planted in some bare areas of the lawn still has not germinated at all. Those bare spots are all dense perennial rye grass now. Have no idea what happened. It’s crazy!!! This is the easiest growing grass ever except in areas under tree that get partial sun. That hasn’t germinated at all. No Bermuda or perennial rye grass, still just dirt, lol. Buy this stuff no matter where you live. It will sprout and stay growing even if there is no rain. We’re in hottest part of summer now with no rain and this stuff is still popping up everywhere and going strong. Amazing!

Product has weeds that have thorns.
This product has a weed that grows fast with thorns on it. I tried to spray a weed killer for lawns so that I could keep the rye grass alive and kill the horny weed today. I’ve never seen a weed like this in my area that has thorns. I do not recommend this product.
