rallye worth it
Light, very sturdy. Mounts easily on rear bumper on our RV. Bicycles never shake or wiggle while on the road. Excellent quality for the price.

Excellent Bike Rack Choice for RV Owners
So far I am very impressed by this bike rack. Note that we have not yet loaded the bikes on it yet, so my review will be for it's construction and ease of assembly. I will update after we have loaded bike for our next trip.I was wanting a bike rack that was stable, and would not bounce around while attached to the bumper on the back of our camper. I have seen several that attach through a standard hitch type of adapter, but in practice they tend to wobble back and forth in the receiver. They also bounce a lot while in travel. The style of the Swagman RV Around The Spare bike rack and the way it attached to the square bumper was appealing. It seemed to have more stability all around. And it does! I am very happy with this rack. It is extremely stable and fits around the spare without rubbing or crowding. If we needed to access the spare, you would remove the bikes, remove two pins that secure the upright arms and release them. You do not have to remove the base section of the rack making access super easy.I like the triangular rubber bike mounts (2 per bike) that are factory installed. They cradle the crossbar of the bike and each mount has two heavy-duty rubber straps. They seem to be a very secure way of mounting each bike to prevent bouncing around during travel. I will update after our next trip. This bike rack is very sturdy, very well made, and thoughtfully engineered. I also feel it is well worth the money compared to others I researched.

Works great
I bought this for my grand design imagine 21bhe xls RV trailer. It is easy to install and sturdy rack. It fits perfectly around the tire. If you have similar tire which is quite standard for similar RV it would work well.

Very solid bike rack
This bike rack was the only feasible method to mount my bikes to a class C motorhome. I could not use the conventional hitch mounted racks. The issue with this rack was my bumper was 2x6 inch, not 4x4. Some customization had to be done and bigger u bolts purchased to mount to the bumper.I am very happy with this rack. The metal construction is solid, and mounted to my bumper with bikes in place, I am confident there will be no issues. In my installation the rack is firm in place, no bounce. My bumper is heavy steel, not as thin as the 4x4 rv hollow bumpers. My only issue is getting the newer style mountain bike frames over the large cradles. My bikes were standard Walmart/Canadian Tire variety. Installing and removing bikes is a little bit of a task. They do allow you to twist the cradles to better position your bike. The cheaper version of this rack would eliminate this problem. The cradles provide more stability and protection from scratches. Rubber straps securely hold your bikes in place. A nylon stap is included to hold the bikes together. Removable pins allow you to remove the rack portion and access your spare tire.July 2022-5 years later and many kms this rack has held firm. Installing and removing the rack from the mounted portion before and after trips requires a rubber mallet and occasionally dry lubricant Recently was able to access the 16" spare tire without removing bikes and the rack. Still happy with this product.

great bicycle rack but.....
This is a strong and well built bicycle rack. But as far as fitting "over the spare" it is sorely lacking. The horizontal bar that is toward the top of the rack that connects the two vertical posts is 6 inches too short. If you force the vertical posts close enough together so that the horizontal bar that came with the rack can be bolted to them, the vertical posts are squeezed so tight they cannot be removed from the other parts of the rack. I had to buy a replacement horizontal bar that was 6 inches longer, and then drill holes in that new piece, and then prime and paint it, in order to connect the vertical posts. Now that I made the changes the bike rack is great, but I should not have had to pay an extra $20 and taken the extra time to fabricate another horizontal connecting bar. Check out the pictures.
