I can't give a review on flavor since I don't eat them, but only one of the cats likes them. Thankfully it's the cat that needed them. We foster kittens for the Santa Rosa County Animal Shelter. Our foster kitten, Devito, had one eye that was awful from the time he came to us. All the other kitties in the litter were fine. We thought he had feline herpes which is caused by stress, but we also treated him for eye infection with terramycin. Over time he bacame gun shy at being held because he was constantly getting medicine in his eye. He was a mess. When it was time to return the kittens for adoption, we knew nobody would adopt Devito with his "f***** up" eye and being afraid if humans, thus we realized we're needed to keep him. Then one day, I was talking to someone about Devito and his eye, and they said, we give out kitty with the horrible eye Lysine and it clears it up in a few days. We already gave powdered lysine in their food to boost their immune system, so I looked for another source and found these treats. Our cats all know the sound of the crinkly treat bag. So they gathered around anxiously as we opened the bag. All eight of them turned their noses up at the lysine treat except Devito. He gobbled it up and ate the ones the others left behind. The first few days it seemed like it wasn't making a change. Then about a week later, everyone agreed there was a change. About a month has passed since we started and although his eye is not perfect, the improvement is 95 percent. Probably if we remembered to give them to him everyday it would clear up completely. We are very grateful to have found these, and will repeatedly buy these as they work for Devito.

Exactly what I expected

I have had my cats on these for years now, I’ve lost count of the amount of packages that I’ve purchased. This is the only brand that I will buy because it’s the only brand that my cats will eat. I have to cut them in thirds for my cats or they are too tough to chew and they won’t touch them. I cut the tail off and then the main part in half, perfect size for them. Once I do that they get excited for their treats. I got one of my cats when she was 10 weeks old and noticed that she was sick right away. The vet explained that she had a cold caused by the feline herpes virus. She’s twelve now and if she doesn’t get the chews then she’ll have a cold within days. A couple of years later, I adopted a two and a half year old male cat that also has feline herpes. Without these chews his eyes get junky and he gets the cold symptoms just as quickly. They both know when it’s treat time and will sit in front of the counter and meow until I look at the clock. I recommend these to anyone that has a cat with feline herpes. If your cats won’t eat them, try cutting them in half, it might help; did with mine.

My cat with cat herpes or Kitty colds seems to like these enough. Definitely helps with sneezing for her. She's not a huge fan but it works.

Lysine (these treats specifically) was recommended to me by a vet for our cat that we recently adopted who had symptoms of cat herpes. I especially wanted to help lessen her watery/teary/goopy eyes, one of which will drip all the way down to her nose. It doesn’t seem to bother our girl, but it bothers me with it getting so close to her nose and I also just don’t love it being wiped directly on me/my kids/everything in the house since it’s not just clear tears, it’s more of a reddish brown watery liquid which is normal for cat herpes but kinda grosses me out, even though I wouldn’t trade our girl for the world. These treats didn’t excite our girl at all. I tried giving them whole, ripped in tiny shreds, mixed into her dry food and even mixed into her wet food. And she STILL finds a way to eat around them and exclude these treats. Even when ripped into tiny bits, she can detect them and leaves them in her bowl. So these were a huge flop for us. My therapist has a cat with the same issues and she uses (and recommended) NOW pet lysine powder. We switched to that and I sprinkle it on her wet food and she gobbles it all up with zero issues! Won’t be trying anything from this brand again. So maybe skip if you have a picky cat, as you cannot return this.

I have 2 senior cats who have been recently having some sneezing issues (not very much but still something). Our last cat had unfortunately gotten extremely I'll with an upper respiratory infection, and never really recovered because of his age. So now I'm very cautious and jumped in to getting the cats lysine as soon as they seemed to start to get a little congested. They both LOVE these, and think they're treats not supplements. Which is a huge plus. It was working at first, but now one of my cats throws up if given the lysine treat. We tried to lower the dosage, but it didnt help, now he is off it completely. It's not clear what's causing it, but we are trying to get him to gain weight and having him throw up a whole meal because of a treat is never a good thing. My other cat is totally find and loves her treat. She is definitely doing a lot better now. No sniffles and no eye gunk.

My cats love these. Whenever they have the sniffles and get "flare ups" I give them these to give them a healthy immune system.

My cat loves the flavor more than his regular treats. And his coat has improved so much within such a short time (maybe 2 weeks).

Got a kitten who has a little cough going on.After a week he is doing so much better.

Disappointing to order cat food from Amazon US. Last time all the cat food got stopped by customs. Some went thru yet the food inside the cans became all watery and poor quality. I thought these health supplements would work better. However, the tablets inside became very dry and hard. Difficult to get my cat to eat them. Yet I paid a high price for the item. Disappointed!

Mon chat le mâche sans difficulté: il en raffole. Mon chat auparavant avait les yeux larmoyant rouge d'irritation des canaux lacrymaux et mettait des gouttes partout sur le plancher, avec une tendance à sa moucher même si ce n'est que des éclaboussures claires. EFFICACE dès le premier mois de traitement: j'ai commencé par 1 "gomme" matin et soir pour tester si le chat supporte le traitement, puis au bout de 2 semaines 2 "gommes" matin et 1 le soir (le chat pèse près de 6 kg). Il n'a plus les yeux larmoyants de larmes rouges/marron. Je fais maintenant des cures de Vetri Lysine Plus occasionnellement suivant les récidives de cet herpès oculaire.
