How does it attach to watersource?

One hose attaches to the water valve where water already goes into the toilet, but to also have warm water you must attach the 2nd hose to your bathroom sinks hot water valve. So if it's in a cabinet you will have to drill holes. Also if the sink isnt close enough to your toilet you will have to buy a longer hose.

Does this work if you don't have hot water hose?

sorry, if you have no hot water hose, please choose the only cold water type. Because this hot and cold water type of bidet need you to connect hot water hose to it.

I am wondering how long lenth hot water tube is provided, I need 8 inch at least.

I didn't use the hot water cause the hose would have had to go through my cabinet and it would have looked award. I just use the cold and I love it. One of the best things I have installed. The hose is not very long I do believe it is longer then 8 inches, but you can buy a hose longer.
