I recently got the Zonon 100-Piece Caulk Cap & Tube Cover set for sealing leftover caulk tubes, and it’s been a pretty handy addition to my toolkit. The idea is simple: you roll or fit a cap over a partially used caulk tube to keep air and moisture out, helping preserve the remaining product instead of tossing it out. In practice, it works well for that. What I like is how many caps you get—you don’t feel like you’re only getting enough for one project. The material feels flexible and fairly durable, which means the caps slip on without making a mess and don’t tear the first time. They’ve helped me save a number of caulk tubes that otherwise might have hardened and gone to waste. Also, the concept itself appeals to me: using simple covers to extend the life of leftover sealant is smart and cost-effective. That said, it’s not flawless. Because these caps are made for a variety of tube sizes, you may find that a few don’t fit absolutely snugly—if the fit isn’t perfect, air can still sneak in and defeat the purpose. Also, while the material is decent, I did notice that after multiple uses the caps can show wear (especially if you twist them on/off a lot). Finally, although the quantity is great, if you only do occasional caulking jobs you may not get through the full set for a long time, which means “extra” caps sitting in storage. Overall, if you use caulk regularly and want a tidy solution to keep tubes fresh and avoid waste, this Zonon set delivers good value and functionality. If you’re only doing one or two jobs a year and don’t mind discarding leftover tubes, the extras may not matter as much. I’d call it a strong choice and worth the purchase if you’re someone in the “frequent DIY or maintenance” category.

Really handy and well worth the money to have these on hand. It is rare that a caulk tube gets used up completely in one use. They do the intended job. Keeping anything left in the tube free from air. They are well sized and easy to use. Home owners and handyman people will get a lot of use out of these. It is really satisfying to know you are not going to waste the remainder of the tube by letting it dry up. The red color makes the partly open caulk tube stand out if you have a few on the shelf. I have reused these. You will not always be able to but maybe 60% of the time you can. It really depends on what the material is and how well you roll it up when you remove it. 100 will last years depending on how much caulking you do. A god buy.

So far so good. They seem to work as described just be careful to put it on the right direction otherwise it will tear.

I used to just stick a screw into open tubes. This works so much better. Rolls over the top. Can reuse if needed. Seems to keep air out and tops of tubes from drying.

These little things are amazing. They saved my half used caulk for another day. They are easy to apply and so far I have saved the caulk from drying out so that I’m able to use it a month later. I haven’t tried to use them, but they do not seem like they would be reusable.

I was a bit skeptical about the effectiveness of these, but I was quite wrong. They do GREAT at keeping the various tubes sealed. I have previously tries clingy plastic wrap and rubber bands to hold the wrap on, but that was messy and sometimes ineffective. I have had this on two caulk cartridges for quite a while now and the caulk is still good. I even reuse the cap - have done so probably 10 times. (One thing to note though - caulk cartridges can also dry out / harden from air getting in the other end. So I still wrap that in clingy plastic wrap with a rubber band - but that is quite reusable because no caulk gets on it. I have also used for glue containers (of which I have many) - and in that case this is all that is needed. This could have save me many tubes of dried out caulk and glue over the years!

I love these little things. They save you from so much waste and are even reusable when using the same products. Very clever idea.

These were fantastic. Really keeps caulk fresh and usable for a very long time.

I had never encountered these before a friend introduced me to them. You'll get more in package than you'll ever likely use. I've only used them to seal up my caulking tubes and they work great for that.

These little condoms work fine on opened caulking tubes sealing the end air tight for most caulking, silicone still manages to dry in my experience.

I can’t see many rave reviews on a simple rubber cap. Still, I find these quite useful for keeping dirt out of my pneumatic tools between uses. Will they last forever? Nope. But they don’t have to. They’re inexpensive and come in quantities that allow them to be replaced whenever they tear, which actually isn’t all that often. Cheap insurance for expensive air tools. Not easy to find in physical stores, so buy enough to keep you going.
