Despite all the negative reviews, I went ahead with purchasing this product a year ago. Initially, really struggled with finding the right balance to making the perfect rotis but, by following the roti making turorial provided and some trial and error with different techniques, I was able to make the perfect rotis with this handy roti maker- all within the first one week. In order to benefit, u need to follow the video guideines and keep the dough to a soft consistency. If u knead the flour into a soft dough making sure its not too soft and not too thick, ull make the perfect roti. Over the past year, i have bought 2 of these myself and recommended it to another family member who has also found it really useful. One of the best things about this roti maker is that u dont need to flatten out the dough before putting it into the roti maker which on its own requires expertise and alot of time. U just place the ball of dough(paidah) in between the two plates and quickly press the top over the lower plate. Perfectly circular roti with ideal thickness depending on how hard you pressed the top plate over the lower one. Great quality, value for money, efficient and saves time. Remember, you will need a few tries before you get the hang of it but, once u do, u will not go back to the conventional way of making rotis. Added advantage- ive been making parathas on this as well even though not recommended by the manufacturers. Highly recommend it!

Como Mexicana, un poco harta de las tortillas de harina de trigo comerciales tipo "oldEl paso" para hacer tacos y burritos, además de contener estas ingredientes nocivos para la salud. Con mi propia receta (harina de trigo, mantequilla, leche y levadura), lo he probado a temperatura máxima y al principio la tortilla resbalaba. Las he humedecido bien y así funciona muy bien. A mis hijos les han encantado. Es necesario practicar para pillarle el punto, pero por lo menos yo lo he conseguido. El tiempo de presión debe ser muy corto y luego se voltea constantemente, si no la tortilla queda seca o se quema. . Viene con el adaptador para su conector británico con el voltaje adecuado para España. En general, muy contenta con el producto aunque hay que practicar para manejarlo adecuadamente.
