Earthborn Elements Betaine HCL, 200 Capsules, Lab-Tested, No Filler or Additives

This is the best HCl I have tried. The price is good and no pepsin or fillers, just HCL In combination with a beet green supplement, it keeps my digestion working well. Will continue to buy.

I like the fact that this product has only one ingredient, Betaine HCL. Most other formulations include pepsin. And if you only take one of them, that is fine. But if you are like me and take 2-4 of these with each meal, all that pepsin is way too much. If I take more than one pepsin-containing pill per day, soon my lips will start getting very chapped and that will persist until I take a day or two off of pepsin and any other digestive enzymes. So apparently, I have enough enzyme, I just need the extra acid. This works very well for my circumstance. By the way, after a couple of weeks of taking these with every meal, I found that I needed to take some bicarbonate about 2-3 hours after one meal each day to give my body the alkali it needs to balance out the extra acid intake. I make my own magnesium and calcium bicarbonate (you can find out how on the internet) as too much sodium bicarbonate does not sit well with me. Additionally, after about a month of this, I found that I need less of it each meal to get the same effect. Great!

I have been using this for a while. Has really helped with my digestion. I will continue to use it daily. I am over 7 decades old.

After much research on very slow digestion, and I mean hours to digest a small meal, I found I could have low stomach hcl. I thought I would try these as the price was nice and if it didn't work I wouldn't be out too much as that was my experiences with other products in the past. Within the first day I could feel it. I took 2 the first meal and hadn't felt that warm feeling in my stomach like research had stated. I took another and then I felt the warmth. The first day it took about an hour for my food to digest. I stayed at 3 capsules for about a week, then went to 2 to see how my food digests and so far so good. I stayed at 2 for another week and now I am at 1 with every meal. It sure sucks getting older and the body slowing in all areas. I am grateful for products like these! I also lost 10 pounds with the help of the hcl and other supplements. I don't feel like a bloated whale anymore.

This was the only Betaine HCL product on the market that I could find that did not have Aspergillus (Mold) in the ingredient profile! I commend you!

I couldn't figure out what was happening to me for many years. I got thrush on my tongue years ago, and my health just kept swinging back and forth, my digestion was awful, very painful to eat a big meal and I would usually pass out shortly after eating, I got to the point where I would eat very little. I had very low energy, irritable mood a lot of the time, led me to drinking and doing other things to feel somewhat happy. Like others I found myself watching Dr. Berg on Youtube and heard him mention this once and went straight here and bought this brand. After only a few days I could tell a big difference in my mood and digestion, now I think I'm a few weeks in and I feel like a totally different person, able to do whatever needs to get done in a day, just really happy. I wish I had known about this long ago, would have made life easier. Can't beat the price for 200 capsules.

I'm only giving this a low score because it caused so much gas in my abdomen that I was horribly uncomfortable. I can't say that it was solely the Betaine. It could have been because I increased the dosage as instructed in a video I was watching. This did not work well for me. I have a sensitive stomach, so like I said it may have been a combination of the increased dosage and my sensitive stomach. I will try it again later and change my rating if I find using it differently works better.
