Satisfied customer!
I've been using Manic Panic for nearly a year now and I'm very happy with it. I think to make the color last you have to keep it on as long as possible before washing it out. For me that is at least 4 1/2 hrs and than the color will very slowly wash out over 6-8 weeks. My hair is dark brown with lots of gray so I use the Flash Lightning 30 kit before applying new color. Than after about 4-6 weeks, depending on root show!, I re-apply color......more because of the roots showing, not because the color faded too much. This will usually end up in having to do the whole cycle (lightning w the kit, new color) about every ~3 months. I can live with that! I started out with Purple Haze but LOVE the pink most! Right now I used a mix of Cotton Candy and Hot Hot Pink.

Not worth the cost.
I bought three colors of the amplified dye: bad boy blue, cotton candy pink, and ultraviolet. I've been using the classic dye pretty regularly since covid hit, and I was at home more than anything else and had no one to impress. I was hoping that since the amplified is supposed to have more color pigment, that it would either last longer, or be more vibrant. Sadly, neither seems to have been the case. First to address how easy it is to use. The little squeeze bottles tended it to make a mess and I ended up wearing as much of the dye as ended up in my hair. The jars that the classic color come in are definitely easier to use, especially if you're using a dying brush. As for longevity, I dyed my hair a week ago, and I'm already considering having to redo it. The pink was by far the worst, as it has completely faded from my hair and left it a sort of sad gray color. The blue really didn't take to my hair very well, but it at least turned a nice denim color. Unfortunately it has already started to fade in spots as well. The ultraviolet has stayed better than either of the other two, but I can already see where it is fading as well. I would be willing to say that perhaps it is an issue with the color choices because I have never used bad boy blue or cotton candy pink before, but ultraviolet is perhaps my favorite color offered by manic panic and I use it fairly religiously, so I know that it should have stayed vibrant longer than a week. I stick faithfully to the manic panic brand of dye because it tends to stay vibrant longer than any other brand I have tried to use. Overall, I will not be buying the amplified die again, because it is certainly not worth the extra cost. My advice is to find the color you like in the classic dye, and stick with it. It stays longer, and is cheaper. One star, because it wouldn't let me put zero.

Very bright
This product is super bright pink, so if you want a lighter pink, I suggest mixing it with some conditioner to lighten it up.

THIS PINK IS VERY LIGHT!! Will not work on dark hair without pre-lightening.
I know from friends that it is not necessary to bleach your hair in order to use Manic Panic dyes - the color won't be nearly as bright without pre-lightening, but there will still be strong color, depending on how light the unprocessed hair is before dying - so I purchased the pink Manic Panic to use a temporary tint on my (previously dyed, but very faded) light auburn hair. At the time of this review, I had the opportunity to have a little fun with my hair color due to a month+ break between jobs, so I didn't want to pre-lighten, since I'm going to have to go back to a "normal" color by the end of August. Unfortunately for me, I purchased the Cotton Candy Pink shade, not realizing it was going to b so light. I have since learned I should have purchased Hot Hot Pink instead, because Hot Hot Pink is better suited for darker hair, whereas the Cotton Candy Pink will only be effective on pre-lightened or naturally light hair. I didn't realize that the color was going to be so light until I began applying the product (which is hot pink in the tube, but pale pink in the hair). As I type, the dye has been in my hair for about an hour and I may leave it in for another hour for good measure, but I do not expect to see anything noticeable when I rinse other than super soft, well conditioned hair. I'm not going to knock the review down below 4 stars because I bought the wrong color, but had this information been listed on the Amazon description of the product, I wouldn't have wasted my money buying a product that wouldn't work for my needs - saying "for best results use on pre-lightened hair" isn't the same as "will not be effective on dark hair," which is why I'm adding this review and why the review is 4 stars instead of 5. (PS - I've already ordered a jar of the Hot Hot Pink, so I'll be trying this again in a few days. Thankfully, because Manic Panic is very gentle and free of harsh chemicals, it won't be a problem for me to dye again. Gotta love that!)

Not what I had hoped
Not what I had hoped. This color was more translucent and did not dye my hair very well. I thought it would be a great color but you can barely see it. I had to redye my hair with different colors to cover up the bleach. The consistency is not the same as their other colors. It does say that it is black light responsive but I havent been able to see anything in my hair. Maybe I just needed to apply more. However, it is not the best for dying but maybe adding a little something to your hair.

Dont waste your $ on the pink or the purple! They dont work, even with the bleach!
Bought rockabilly blue, this pink, a purple, & the 40 amp bleach for my daughters hair! The blue is great & we have used it many times. The pink & purple stayed in for maybe a whole day before it started to bleed together & look like cotton candy. Which my daughter actually liked! But by the end of the week, the purple & pink were completely gone. The blue is still holding strong & so did the bleach so now her hair is bleach with blue tips. I dyed my whole head purple in high school (20+ years ago) with this same dye & didn't bleach it first. My hair was purple for easily 3 months!! My conclusion is they must have changed the formula, so it just doesn't work now! If you want blue, go for it! But don't waste your $ on the purple of the pink. Super disappointed!!

Cotton Candy Pink.. Not So Sweet...
After watching Martina from EatYourKimchi dye her hair pink using Manic Panic products, I IMMEDIATELY got the urge to do it myself. Rebellion!!! After ready many reviews, I decided to stick with her suggestion of Manic Panic hair dye. Hair Type: Fine Oily Hair After attempting to bleach my hair using the Manic Panic bleach kit (I wrote a review for that as well) and failing with it, I was afraid to see the result of another product of theirs. Before putting the color in, I made sure my hair was really really dry. Bleach, blow dryer, hair straightener.. This hair dye is Vegan and conditions your hair while it's in, so I wasn't afraid of the prior damage I had done. The initial turn out was great. It was more Bubble Gum than Cotton Candy but I still loved it. However, one week and one very cold hair wash later... my hair is now blonde with a VERY light pink tint. I tried again, same result. I tried putting in some of the dye with my conditioner to keep the color and it still doesn't last long at all. I don't want to have to put dye in my hair every week. I don't have that time. Maybe I did something wrong? Whatever the case, I shall be trying Punky Color (it's cheaper, but hopefully it works) in hopes to achieve what this couldn't. *fingers crossed* P.S. My sister has thick dry hair and she is suffering from noticeable fading without any wash at all a week in. She dyed her hair Ultra Violet.
