The only Dr. costume you'll need to buy.
Sure wish I had seen this before buying the playschool Dr. set for my 3-4 year old grandson. Just like their Policeman costume (AMAZING quality and accessories), the Dr. set is way above average in construction and instruments. The stethoscope even gives coughing sounds. I does not give a heartbeat but none of the play sets do and at least this one makes noise. 4 great pockets to store the "instruments" in AND a mask, which Alex loves most of all. The mask has Velcro so it fits any head by hooking over the ears. There is a place to write the child's name in on a card in the front pocket and a large, realistic medical emblem on the back. Like all of their costumes, the Dr. outfit comes on a hanger with heavy plastic over it. That way, after playing, the instruments go into the 4 pockets, the stethoscope over the hanger, the lab coat on the hanger and then cover it all up to hang neatly in the closet. Sure beats having all those items all over the house! Melissa and Doug outfits really are worth way more than the price they charge to get all of their extras. I'm careful with my money but I really believe these costumes are the best this grandma, or anyone can buy.

SUPER CUTE!!!
My daughter LOVES the doctor kit. The pieces all fit nicely in the jacket; which is very well made! The heartbeat stethoscope was a huge hit, as many of the more inexpensive doctor kits we have purchased in the past, simply did not do anything. Only complaint from my daughter was that the Doctor Mask does not fit comfortably around her ears. The company tried to make it adjustable (which is great), but the Velcro tabs that are being used are very scratchy against the ears if it turns slightly. Otherwise, definitely worth the price!!

Comes with so many great accessories for dress-up!
This is a fantastic gift for a 5 year old, especially one that enjoys playing dress-up. We purchased this for our nephew, who has recently started getting excited about dress-up. He loved that this came with lots of tools – a stethoscope, shot, mask, jacket, name-tag, and a couple of other cool doctor tools. Some of them click and do something when played with, which he loved, and the stethoscope makes a heart beat sound when it's button is depressed (and batteries are added). Because this is much more than just a costume – it has all of the fun accessories with it that look real enough to a 5 year old – it is a really exciting toy. We thought this would be something he would play with for 5 minutes, but he spent an hour with it the first night he got it, doctoring everyone willing to sit for him. He called us a few days later (with assistance, of course), and he threatened to make a house call if we didnt come to see him for our appointment right then. We heard he dressed up and continued to play doctor to all visitors who came to the house over this past weekend. Who knows how long he'll continue to play with it, but he's already gotten so much time out of it and was so excited about it from the start, that we are so happy with the gift. We should mention that he did have an accident earlier this year and had to go to the ER for a few hours to get stitched up, and it was especially exciting to him to be able to play the role of doctor, after having that stressful but stimulating experience.

Kindergarten Girl Loves It!
I found this on a list for gift ideas for either a Kindergarten or five-year old girl. It's great. My girl likes both the dress up aspect of it and the tools. One major advantage of this over other doctor toy sets is that the thermometer "works" without being put into mouths (or, heaven forbid, other orifices). The child can just click a button, and a new temperature shows up every time. The stethoscope is also cool in that it makes its own noises--including coughing and heart beat sounds. Just have two AAA batteries and a very small screwdriver ready to activate it. Batteries and screwdriver not included! Our girl is five, and about 41 pounds, and the white coat seems just a slight bit too large for her--but it fits plenty well enough for playing. Be sure to have a Sharpie handy to write the kid's name on the name tag. The mask seems to be the weakest part of the costume set. It is poorly designed and doesn't stay on very well. We bought our daughter about 9 or so Christmas gifts in this price range, and this was by far her favorite!

Cutest doctor costume!
Melissa and Doug is a favor it brand of mine, they went above my expectations this time! My LO had a career day at school and asked to be a doctor, after searching the Internet for the perfect doctor outfit, I finally found this. So happy with it, comes with a coat, name tag that a picture can be attached to, a stethoscope, a thermometer and a reflex tester (all toys of course) everyone at school commented on how cute it was and asked where I got it from. Not only great for play would also make a great inexpensive Halloween costume It very well made and the stethoscope also is battery operated and makes a "beating heart" sound, my daughter loves this feature!

My daughter absolutely loves the doctor role-play set. The jacket is quite big on her but usable with many years of play ahead (she's on the smaller side compared to the average 2.5 year). She love playing with all the equipment, especially the stethoscope.

Bought this for my granddaughters birthday. She loved it. It is a great quality dress up toy to give kids an experience of role play and discovery. I will definitely buy more of these.
