I’ve tried flat drain covers before, but hair would always slip underneath and eventually clog the drain anyway. The TubShroom design works much better because it sits inside the drain and wraps the hair around the center instead of letting it pass through. Installation took less than a minute and it fit my standard bathtub drain without any issues. Water still drains normally, and cleaning it is way easier than digging hair out of a metal screen. You just pull it out, wipe off the hair, rinse it, and put it back in. It also keeps the hair mostly out of sight, which is a nice bonus. After using it for a while, I’ve noticed far fewer drainage issues and I haven’t had to use drain cleaner at all.
