Great fire starter kit! Cordage that came with is awesome
Love this ferro rod kit. Works really well. Cord for the striker could be a hair longer but that would be my only complaint. The jute cordage that came with it is killer for starting a fire. Used this in the Colorado mountains and could not be happier with it.

Wow Perfect for Survivor Enthusiasts
Purchased this as a gift for my daughter that enjoys backpacking. This is super easy to use and she started a fire with little effort. Felt like I was watching an episode of Survivor- she would have definitely won the fire building challenge! It was that fast.

Great product
Great product, ferrorod is a great size and striker that comes with is perfect. I cut a very small portion of this rope off and my fire was immediately blazing even in wet conditions. I won’t ever pack for camping without this in my bag

I own several of these ferro rods.
The ferro rods work better than most. I own several. I recommend them. The fat rope is good too. Most fat rope is the same. I like the thick strands. Easy to take apart, rough up, and lite.
