Is there a difference between the white and blue filters?

I have used both in my HE7 shower head without an issue. But I do use a small amount of petroleum jelly on the O-ring and I flip the cartridge every couple of months. The HCC-2 Blue appears to have a slight difference on the ends to fit an older style shower head according to the description.

what are actual dimensions of this filter refill? i have sonaki vit c and this seems close in dimensions visually

The O ring fittings on each end fit snugly inside the Sprite wand, with a little help from a dab of Vaseline or grease smeared on them, that's how precise the fit is. My suggestion would be to order some, then send them back if they do not fit. I don't think Amazon charges for immediate returns. Also, I will never buy these filters again, as the "Sprite" brand last longer, and do a better job at removing chlorine. If you try them and the fit is slightly loose, you could try different thickness O rings. Get an O ring collection at Orchard Supply, Lowes, Home Depot. O rings stretch quite a bit, so the inside diameter should be smaller than the item you want to fit it on.

I ususally buy the 4 pack as it is cheaper from the source on Amazon that I use. Make your own decisions

Do these need to be reversed halfway though their 3 month expectancy?

I have change the direction of them and I have not, but I can't positively say if this has any effect on their life span. I just change them when I see the color change, not necessarily at 3 months. You are going to have to gauge your usage.
