A Great Part of a Camping Sleep System!
I bought this as a companion for my USGI Industries poncho. I told my wife I had always wanted a "woobie," and she asked what I needed it for. I explained that she wasn't listening...I said I had always WANTED one, not that I NEEDED one! With her blessing, I purchased the USGI poncho liner. While I wouldn't want this to be my only blanket in very cold weather, I found that it was very warm for its size and thickness. I have only used it in the house on chilly nights, and I was happy at how good it was at insulating and keeping in my body heat. I paired it with my poncho, and they fit together perfectly. I can see how the woobie and poncho would make an effective combination for emergency heat retention or camping. Now that Spring is upon us, I plan to use my USGI woobie as my main blanket the next time I go camping. The quality of the material and its construction are both very good, and I found no loose threads. It's very easy to pair with the poncho, which would make the system water proof. It also packs down nice and compact into the included stuff sack. All-in-all, I am very happy with the purchase, and I can't wait to take it camping in the coming weeks.

Would give it 6 stars
I forgot how awesome my old woobie (pet name we had for the poncho liner in the service), but now that I have this one again I'm reminded of why these were one of our most coveted issued items. Other than the obvious, warmth, the poncho liner is very versatile. If you're a hiker or camper you're like me and probably like to pack things that have multiple uses to conserve space in your pack and just as important, to save weight. The poncho liner in conjunction with your poncho can make the difference between a cold and wet hike and a warm, comfortable and dry hike. Though it doesn't fold down particularly small it IS smaller than another sleeping bag and when used inside a lightweight bag it has kept me toasty warm down into the low 20's at night. This poncho liner is wider and longer than most of the other liners I've seen on Amazon and when spread out it was big enough to cover both my wife and I on a queen size air mattress with a foot to spare on both sides and its length was plenty long, even for some like myself (I'm 6'3"). Versatility and multi-use is the name of the game when choosing items to go in your pack, whether it's for a 3-day hike or for your bug out bag, this woobie is great. It's also a perfect item to keep in your vehicle in case you get stranded, it'll keep you warm and comfortable while you wait for the tow truck. Online you can find many other uses for the poncho and poncho liner. Combine your liner with the actual poncho and you've got an excellent makeshift waterproof sleeping bag, a tent and blanket, or a lean-to and blanket in case your out on a hike and the weather turns bad on you and you have to hunker down and wait it out. There's a reason the poncho and liner is used and taught in military outdoor survival schools. The edges are reinforced and the rip stop nylon can take a beating but it is soft enough to cuddle with on the couch, as a matter of fact my 8 year old routinely grabs mine to watch TV under when it's a little chilly and he has even figured out how to use the ties on the edges (meant for attaching it to the poncho or tying it together to use as a sleeping bag) to make a killer blanket fort, and we all know how important THOSE are! To sum it up, this woobie is top notch, top of the line design and materials, and the price is very affordable, especially considering all the uses it has. I have purchased a few more for my boys to use on Boy Scout campouts and I also got one for a buddy who is a veteran as well for his birthday. He swears it's the best birthday gift he's received since the Nintendo he got for his 10th birthday. You just can't go wrong with this one, from a guy who has used this product from combat in Afganistan to camping out with my Boy Scouts, I recommend this poncho liner to everyone. Definitely 5 stars!!!

I get it now
A bunch of my buddies served in the military and used to talk about these blankets. Turns out that they are actually pretty awesome. This is now my favorite blanket and I use it every night. Its great for roadtrips, camping, hunting, everything. There is almost always a good reason to bring one of the blankets with you. Doesnt really matter where you're going. Warm, lightweight, durable fabrics and nice seams, soft to the skin, breathable, no shedding, water resistance can be reapplied with a spray, but only if used outdoors. Not the best for rain or anything, but great for staying warm outdoors. Nice thickness. Doesn't seem to stain or retain too much odor. I legit love this blanket and plan on ordering more. Seems worth it to throw one of these into each of our cars for emergencies.

good replacement
not as good as the military ones I have used over the years, but a close copy for a lot less money. I sleep under this every night now. also, everything in my room is brown so this fits right in with the colors.

Warm but not very sturdy
Very warm but a bit thin. It’s a good blanket though and easy to clean. The outter fabric lining ripped pretty easy when it got snagged on a bed frame.

One of my better purchases on Amazon.
No disappointment. Maybe cheaper out there but I have an old USMC issue and this is so much warmer, thicker, and comes with a stuff sack. I often sleep on top of the bed sheets and blankets and this is plenty warm in a mostly un heated room. Is a great addition to a hammock or any camping gear. I will probably get another just to be able to tie together and mark a sack with. I like the digital and will add a black or green soon. I read the negative reviews and they must have gotten a different lot or something becouse I don’t think it could be better for what it is. I haven’t washed it yet but I will post if there are any issues. No odors, seems well stitched and I am confident this will last me a long time. The width and length are more than my old issue and at 6’ I can tuck some under “mah tootsies” and it’s sill comes up to chin. If you are looking for one don’t hesitate.

The one you’ve searched and searched for!
Durable well sewn materials keep the insulation even after cleaning. Treated with Nikwax has made the water resistance insane. The Nylon shell is quality as is the insulation. For $43 dollars this is a no brainer. I will be putting one on my bed, in my big out bag and use one for camping. That’s THREE blankets for $129. Going with any other option simply does not make sense considering both the quality and price. One of the best purchases I have ever made on Amazon. 10/10!

Good at retaining body heat
I bought two of these, for my wife and me. I have never used them in outside, but we did use one last winter when our rv propane system sprung a leak. We had no heat at night because we were not in a full hookup site and couldn’t run our generator after 10pm and before 7am(campground rules). So we put a sheet on the bed and this poncho liner with a light blanket on top. The first night we expected to get cold. We were pleasantly surprised with the way it held our body heat in. It got down to 40 degrees for a couple of hours each night, but we never got cold, in fact we had to turn down the blanket and use just the liner. After the first night we didn’t even put the blanket on, just used the liner. And we stayed quite warm. My wife, who is the coldest natured person I know, didn’t want to leave the liner when she got up. It was almost like having our electric blanket on us. We weren’t prepared because we didn’t anticipate the propane leak. We didn’t cut our stay short because we slept as warmly as when we had heat. We had two small electric heaters but we couldn’t use them without the generator running. But we didn’t mind because the poncho liner did such a good job. Probably because it is listed as water resistant, heat can’t escape easily and you stay warm. It is bulkier than GI issue but it works as well as the real deal. I gave it 5 stars because that is MY opinion of it. I found it to be very warm and retained heat very well. While it is true that I only experienced around 40 degrees inside and protected from the wind, I would have no hesitation in using in the woods with a poncho or tarp as protection from wind and rain. Try it. I honestly believe you will be satisfied with it.

Excelente Liner
Buen buenos materiales y de buen tamaño. El color es discreto y la textura de la tela es muy buena. Lo único que le falta es que tuviera una apertura a la mitad para poder meter la cabeza y usarlo de poncho.

Excellent!
Great woobie for the price, probably as close as you will get to a genuine issue woobie 👍
