The absolute best DEFROST function I have ever used! It worked on smoked salmon. Would buy again.
this 8-in-1 microwave is amazing. So far I've used the defrost, microwave, combi, and air fry function. I think the key with this microwave is to actually read and use the instruction manual if you want it to work well and save the trial and error time (and save your food in the process). In short, all the functions work amazing, defrost is by far the winner of it all for me. It defrosted smoked salmon without cooking it. Forever a fan just for that. Here are my notes: 1. Microwave - I used the "beverage" function to heat up some coffee. It's the Auto 1 I think (check the manual!) it heated it up nice and hot, it didn't get cold quick, and I was very pleased. I really only use the microwave for reheating (not cooking), so this was perfect. 5 stars on this front. 2. Combi - this was a combo grill/micro function for some hot dogs. I couldn't find a good guide in the rush of my son requesting hot dogs like he hadn't eaten anything in the past 6 years of his life, but I did a combi preset, had to do it twice, and while they came out good, almost like on the stove top, I think they could have been better--they lacked a little cooking in the center. I'll have to do some homework on the best hot dog function to use before my next request. 3. Airfry - I cut up some red potatoes (small if you ask me), dressed them with EVOO, salt, paprika and thyme and used the air fryer at 350 F for 30 mins. I MUST DISCLOSE that I have NEVER used an airfryer. Never. I saw it as a frivolous appliance that takes up too much space. Enter this micro. This is why I got the micro in the first place. Back to the potatoes, they could have been cooked a little more for my liking, perhaps a higher temp, but my husband thought they were amazing. Again, I have never air fryed, so probably some novice user error on my end. 5 stars for air frying! 4. Defrost. This is where this microwave SHINES like none other. I defrosted smoked salmon. Have you ever done that before????? the edges are ALWAYS *cooked* and I can't stand that. It defrosted perfectly. Not cooked. Not at all. DEFROSTED as if I'd left it out on the counter to defrost. My God. Chicken? Defrosted like a CHARM. Not cooked! not hot! DEFROSTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would give this 10,000 stars just for defrosting because I ALWAYS forget to take food out to defrost.

DIED after just a little over A YEAR!
REVISED: QUIT TURNING, of course, right after the warranty expired. It's never been great about turning properly, but was fine, until it started groaning, like metal scraping on metal, & died. We've always taken good care of it. I can't express how sick we are of cheap junk. We had each of the past two microwaves for more than 10 years, each. The amount of steam the microwave function produces...apparently on purpose...is making me INSANER!! I'm trying to cook the food, not give it, the interior of the microwave, & the countertop a bath! It drips all over the place when you open the door. SERIOUSLY, it's like it's pulling every ounce of moisture it can get from the air. Not that I don't clean my microwave regularly, but it's way too much to let it air dry, so I have to wipe everything down...every time I use it...including removing the tray & go-around thingy...or the moisture would just sit in there fermenting in extremely unsanitary puddles. The directions are, in part, in very broken English. The timer has been the hardest to figure out...that, & the combo cooking. I guess I'll be investing in some oven safe plastic cookware, because metal {necessary for using the convection function} sparks when the microwave is in use during combo cooking...if I can figure out the directions to get past C1 & on to C2... The broiler appears to be combo, only. I'm unsure what cookware will work, as even oven safe plastic may melt. Although, it's a bit frustrating that the broiler element never seems to heat up enough to quickly broil. I've yet to see it glowing red like a conventional broiler, so it seemingly takes forever. Plus, microwaving can ruin some foods, especially fish & chicken. Bread can get very tough, very quickly. I really don't understand the wisdom in not making it strictly broiling. I'm really looking forward to learning to dehydrate peppers, etc. Some things bake too fast, others take FOREVER! Especially, when air frying. It may be partly my fault for not grasping times for the smaller quantity this oven can handle, vs a full size oven. Sometimes preheat takes forever, others, it doesn't seem to need it or it's far quicker than a conventional oven. Preheating can be MASSIVELY annoying! As soon as you open the door to put the food in, it loses all the heat, starting the preheating process all over again, necessitating opening the door, again, to be able to set the timer. Arrgghh! Sometimes, air fry seems a better choice over baking because it circulates better. Regardless, there's a VERY steep learning curve, made that much worse by the horrendous instructions. I recommend lots of YouTube videos to avoid wasting food. All of the other brands seem prone to shorts & literal fires, so I'm constantly on guard with this one, although it's not mentioned in any of the reviews. It's not fair to judge this one based on those, but I am a little hesitant to leave it dehydrating overnight, unsupervised. It does get VERY hot, so I recommend a silicone mat underneath to protect countertops. To me, heated food always tastes better than microwaved. It's large enough for most casseroles, etc, for a family of four. I like that I don't have to heat up my expensive propane oven. I don't pay for electricity, so it may not be as savvy an investment for others, since it seems to need so much extra time for some things. Again, that may be misconception on my part. Overall, if you don't mind needing a PhD in combo/convection/air fryer/baking/broiler ovens...or your hair in piles on the floor trying to understand these instructions...or purchasing some extra cookware, it's a good investment. SIDE NOTE: This is NOT 1000 watts, as claimed. If you live in an RV, like I do, check the usage for all cooking modes, carefully, to make sure you're not overloading your circuits, potentially causing a fire. Keep in mind, other things, like the refrigerator, are always using some of the total available. This uses 1800, more than 1/2 the 3000 total available in a 30 amp RV {2000 to 2500 max, to be on the safe side}.

I like this microwave.
I needed to get a new microwave our old one was almost a decade old and the inside was starting to rust out. I needed something that I could mute as I am on night shift while the rest of the house works days. I shopped around locally because I didn't want the hassle of having to try and return a microwave to Amazon if it was junk, unfortunately I couldn't find any microwaves carried by any retailers in my area that had the mute function I wanted and many of them were just as expensive as this microwave. I was hesitant to pull the trigger on this product because of the reviews. There's a lot of *good* reviews on here but it's the bad ones I keep an eye out for, you cannot trust most of the reviews on this website anymore and its the overly critical reviews that I trust to be honest. Some folks were complaining this unit felt cheap and made of low quality parts. I disagree. This microwave is smaller than the one I used to own but somehow manages to be heavier than the larger microwave I had. The entire unit feels like it's built solidly, it has a stainless steel finish on the inside, so it's easy to clean. And best of all it has the mute function I wanted. As a bonus due to it's nature as a convection microwave I have noticed that it warms food in a slightly different manner, like to the point even microwave meals taste a little different and I have noticed that things like bowls and containers are less hot on the outside than I'd expect them to be. I'm glad I bought this unit, it seems reliable. Keep in mind there's a bit of a learning curve to using this microwave, you don't want to accidently engage it's grilling functions while you got plastic in there.

Two year review; works great and I still like it but button sticks
After owning this microwave air fryer combo for two years, I can safely say that I still like it and it still works great. It especially works well as a microwave. The ONLY functional issue I've encountered is that the primary button that starts the microwave started to stick on one side. As a result, it was hard to get the microwave to start AND there was one time when the button got jammed, so it kept adding time to the cook time on its own. This was obviously problematic. I think this shows a problem with the desgn of the microwave, because they could have used a button that was completely rubber sealed. Instead, grease can get in under the lip of the button a little bit. I solved the issue by spraying the button with a little degreasing kitchen cleaner spray, and tried to get it into all little corners under the lip of the button. It helped a lot, but it still looks a bit stuck. The OTHER main issue for everyone to be aware of is this thing is much bigger than a standard microwave. A LOT bigger, especially with regard to its front to back depth. This makes it function less efficiently/ effectively compared to a normal, dedicated air fryer. However, the overall counter space savings are worth it. We often use it as a toaster, in place of a toaster oven.

First day of use. Giving it a 5 because of features and price.
I've only used it one day but I'm giving it a 5 because of the features, the price, and they have online support for 90 days and I requested a chat to find out how to set the timer on the air fryer and within 5 minutes I had someone to talk too. This product comes with the unit, 2 trays for functions other than the microwave and a manual and an Air Fryer cookbook. The manual is not bad but surprisingly doesn't cover the Air Fryer function that well. There is another manual online on Amazon product guides and documents that apparently covers what the tech I talked to online. The unit is 1 cuft which is the size I had before. It doesn't give you the 12" space above the unit for a cabinet it recommends I have maybe 7 inches but enough of the microwave is free of the cabinets. It is no bigger than my old microwave but with the convection oven junk I will see it has the 3" from the wall they recommend. My kitchen is kind of dark and when I put it on the counter, plugged it in and opened the door the LED light and the stainless steel inside made the outside look dull. It has a lot of presets that are listed inside the door. You use the knob to rotate through them. I might look complicated looking at the codes for the presets but as a senior I think most of it is very intuitive. The manual is not that bad but the using the Air Fryer and using the slow cook feature for dehydrating foods can replace 2 appliances that I bought it for and the manuals could do a better job of making the operation clearer. My old microwave turntable was making noises and when I started looking I saw microwaves with sensors and those with convection ovens or air fryers and I saw this. This frees up counter space and lets me sell my dehydrator and 1 of my air fryers at a garage sale. I know the dehydrator function will probably not be as good as what I have and will require some changes. From the times I see on the Air Fryer they are longer than the ones I have but I can use the space. Like I said I've only used it one day and fixed pork chops in the Air Fryer. I could have spent much more for so many appliances out there but this one does what I want at a price I can afford. If it last half as long as my old microwave it will be bargain.

air fryer function is a little sketchy
its holding up well almost 2 years later air fryer function is kind of scary

Good for short term.
I've had this combo microwave noe for almost 2 years. It's a great microwave combo unit but recently started malfunctioning. The buttons no longer recognize when they are pushed and randomly starts. I believe that over time, using the other functions has heated up the control board too much and started degrading it. For the price, I wish it was longer lasting. It worked great while it was functional but now I can even get the basic +30 microwave dial to work. I will not be buying a combo microwave for a couple more years until they have better hardware and more time figuring out the flaws.

Condensation and air fryer issues...
I've had this item for about 3.5 months. It was to replace two items, my microwave that finally conked out and an air fryer that was taking valuable counter space. Pros: *Microwave feature works very well *Interior is easy to clean *Overall design is attractive and modern *Lots of positive reviews Cons: *When air-frying and broiling, it takes longer than my old unit, sometimes double the recommended time. But even so, it doesn't fully crisp the food items as well as my prior unit, therefore currently using my oven. *Condensation builds up along the walls and door after just a few minutes of cooking time... lots of steam comes out when you open the door! While other reviewers complained of these issues, the company responded this as being common and normalized it. That is disappointing. Seems like a fan exhaust issue. I'm concerned of future mold issues. *The "remove odor" feature takes 5 minutes and doesn't remove odors. *The 2 included inserts are awkward...a metal rack with rubber feet to elevate and a nonstick perforated tray that lays on top of that. 1) If cooking/baking/air-frying any food that will emit drippings or grease, it will drip through the perforated tray onto the microwavable clear plate. I've been using a paper plate or a small dinner plate (additional item to wash) to catch everything, otherwise this would be very messy. 2) When air-frying or broiling, the elevated rack makes it difficult to flip food items and remove the hot tray from the mic. There isn't much room between the insert tray and ceiling, therefore you have to take everything out of the mic, flip and then put everything back in. This creates a mess because of the perforated tray mentioned in #1. Things to note... *The depth of this mic takes more space than an average mic. The elements in the back of the unit extend out by a couple of inches more from the actual box. *The size of the inside cavity is the same as my old mic, yet because it's a combo, it is 2-3x heavier. I mentioned this for those who have difficulty lifting heavy items. For this price point, I feel robbed and can not recommend this product. Currently, I'm using it as a microwave and nothing else, as it's other combo features are awkward and do not function well.
