## Description

Tundra series freezer panels have a very unique freezing point of 5 degrees F and are designed to help maintain a consistent freezer temperature in coolers. While not as cold as dry ice, tundra freezer panels can be used as a suitable replacement. The panels have been shown to maintain days of frozen temperatures in controlled testing. Due to its low freezing point, tundra freezer panels can take 18-24 hours to freeze. Turn freezer to the lowest setting to ensure freezing. It is recommended that these panels be used to maintain frozen goods. Use weight equivalent to dry ice needed for great reusable results. Store in freezer when not using so they are ready when needed. The ice size is large.

**Q: Will your typical freezer get cold enough to freeze these? No thermometer on my freezer..**
A: In my deep freezer they freeze solid, but in my refrigerator freezer it does not. I don’t think my refrigerator freezer gets cold enough.

**Q: I’ve had these in the freezer for a week at 0*. They are still not frozen. Just what temperature are they going to freeze at?**
A: Temperature is not measured by state (liquid or solid) because different solutions have different freezing temperatures.  Pure water freezes at 32 degrees F or 0 degrees Celsius.  The solution in the freezer blocks freezes well below that.  I stored them outdoors a few years ago to see if I could get them SOLID in MN winter weather.  
   Get an "instant read" thermometer.  Freeze 3 freezer blocks in the same level of your freezer for 48 hours. 
  Put one of these permanent freezer blocks in a quart of tap water, another in a solution of salt water (1 qt water and 1/4 cup salt) and a third in 1 qt. Water and 1/2 c sugar. 
   How long does your block take to freeze your solutions?
   Tip:. Cold mooves down;. If you store yours in the top of your freezer, it will protect your food during a power outage or freezer malfunction.

**Q: Which color is comparable to the Yeti ice?**
A: I'm not as familiar with the Yeti product, however if it helps, I use 2 of the purple Tundra packs in my cooler and they work awesome for me. Things in direct contact with them will freeze, but they make my sports beverages ice cold, even in a fairly large cooler. They work well enough that I no longer make a stop and buy ice, unless I have to keep food cold for a weekend.

**Q: How long will it last for? This will be for medical supplies so please be as accurate as possible**
A: Not long enough. I bought 2 of these in preparation for Hurricane season. I tried them out and they do not last more than three hours. I put them in the cooler with a couple of the same size from Walmart.  Walmart lasted longer. I was really surprised since they advertised they were long lasting.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Keeps Food Frozen Longer Than Regular Ice Packs

These are by far the best reusable ice packs I’ve owned. Unlike standard ice packs that just keep things cool, the Arctic Ice Tundra Series actually freezes at around 5°F, so it’s designed to help keep frozen food frozen instead of just chilled. That makes a huge difference on camping trips, road trips, and long days with the cooler. I also love that there’s no melted ice or water collecting in the bottom of the cooler. They’re extremely durable, easy to reuse, and fit nicely around food and drinks. They do take a little longer to freeze than regular ice packs, but once they’re frozen, the performance is absolutely worth it. If you’re serious about keeping your cooler as cold as possible without the mess of bagged ice, I highly recommend these. They’ve exceeded my expectations.
