Easy to install and works perfectly with our antique clawfoot tub

It’s not really hard to install this because I did it by myself 9 months pregnant but if you’re not handy, I wouldn’t recommend installing this yourself. Not made to be cut to fit ceiling height. The kit comes with screw inserts that fit the tubes that attach to your wall if you need to adjust where the rectangle needs to be but not any inserts for the size tubing that attaches to your ceiling. I have short ceilings, so I did cut to fit my ceiling but also had to problem solve to make it happen. Decently sturdy. Very light, and functions for what it’s meant for. Recommend a second set of hands.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Needed something for my clawfoot tub when I added a shower to it. This worked perfectly. I was anxious about having to cut the pipes. Measure twice and just go for it. My cuts were not on the perfect side so I just hid them. You’ll understand when you read the instructions. It is on the flimsy side but for the price and size I’m happy with it.

This is ideal, however if you’re surrounded by a shower curtain it WILL stick to you like fly paper. Not the rods fault!

I'm an accomplished DIYer/Homeowner with basic plumbing, painting, electrical and carpentry skills and I'll tackle most projects on my own rather than bring in professionals who might have more knowledge and skill, but don't really give a sh*t. This shower curtain ring has a few things going for it that made me give it a try: More support than other brands and I like that it is made from aluminum (my previous chromed steel ring got pretty corroded and rusty quickly). The instructions tell you to install the front facing double bracket adn then get someone to "hold" this part in place while you install the rest of the unit. It took a good 2 hours to do that second part, so getting a helper to really was not an option. I happen to have a lot of motion picture equipment because of my job, and was able to rig a lighting stand to hold the hoop in place while I finished the installation. I don't know how it could have been done otherwise. The finished project looks pretty good, but after about a month of regular use one side has loosened to the point where it sags. I can probably take it apart and tighten things up, but I would have rather paid more money for a unit that didn't need tweaking and adjustment.

Easy assembly, good fit

Many of the screw holes weren't threaded, so you have to jam the screw into the hole and use the screw to make the threads. Of the few screw holes that had threads, two didn't hold the screws as the threads were too large. I ended up cobbing it together using wood behind the screws and screws of my own. It wasn't worth the hassle to return it. Don't buy this product, I will have to buy another one to replace it when I have time. Side note: the rods that attach to the wall are quite short so it will only fit properly on a shower that is right up against the wall.

Perfect for our clawfoot tub. Bigger than our previous one which was such a great surprise (more body:arm room while standing). Excellent quality and easy to assemble. Not flimsy at all which was a concern when looking for one to buy.

My tub/shower came with a very fancy shower curtain rod that was expensive, but when installed it was not sturdy at all! I bought this item to replace the other one, and I am amazed at how sturdy it is! It’s not flimsy at all, and it looks very nice.

Installed a 32x48 tub / shower, and was able to modify to the size I needed. Either cutter-grind or metal saw work fine. Just make sur to keep your flared ends, and work with the other ends of the pipes

Such a great deal! I purchased when it was around $60 and really pleased with it. Pros: Great Price! Easy to install with two people. Looks Great. Cons: Can't hold much weight so purchase light weight shower curtain. Curtain does not close all the way in front so depends on your faucet and placement. I had to cut the ceiling pipe to shorten it and make it level with bathtub. Also I had to spread the inner umbrella tightening ring to make it snug so the pipe would not fall out from ceiling post. I would suggest having two people to install and make sure to measure the length from the wall of the faucet and distance from the floor of bathtub.
